We recently welcomed students from across Western Australia to our Hazelmere underground training centre as part of the WA Mining Club’s ‘Get into Mining’ program.

Throughout the visit, students explored our diverse career pathways – from entry-level roles to apprenticeships and graduate opportunities – and toured our underground training facilities, workshop, machinery, and underground truck simulator.

The program aims to inspire the leaders of tomorrow and showcase the opportunities within the mining industry, and we were pleased to support it again this year.

Last week, 34 of our future leaders came together for two days of learning, collaboration and connection at our annual Graduate Forum. These emerging professionals are already shaping the future of our business.

Across the program, graduates heard from leaders across the business on topics central to their development – including technology, assets, pipeline and growth strategy, personal brand and resilience. They left with fresh insights, stronger networks and a deeper understanding of how our business operates.

A special congratulations to Cameron Wallace, winner of this year’s Graduate Award for Excellence. This award recognises his commitment to delivering high-quality work and consistently living our Principles. Cam demonstrates No Shortcuts by upholding strong standards and doing things right the first time, and embodies Never Wasteful through effective use of time and technical expertise to optimise tasks and support his team.

At Barminco, we’re committed to developing the next generation of mining professionals. Our vacation and graduate programs provide clear pathways for talented people to grow, learn and build long-term careers in our organisation.

Barminco was proud to sponsor the Survivor Golf event held on 21 March in West Wyalong. The initiative aims to give amateur golfers a professional‑level experience while opening important conversations about mental health in regional communities.

As part of the fundraising efforts, we also contributed items to the event auction, with all proceeds supporting Boys to the Bush - an organisation dedicated to helping young men through mentoring, school programs and camps that engage not just individuals, but entire communities.

We were pleased to stand alongside Evolution Mining Cowal Gold Operations in supporting such an important cause. We are committed to supporting healthy and thriving communities in the communities in which we operate.

We’re pleased to announce an extension of our existing contract with Regis Resources Ltd at the Duketon Operations in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, which includes the Rosemont and Garden Well underground gold mines.

This extension will see our team continue to deliver underground development, production and support services until at least 30 March 2029, with the ability to further extend the contract on a rolling basis.

Barminco has been operating at Duketon since 2019, and this extension reinforces our long‑standing partnership with Regis. We look forward to continuing to work together to deliver safe, reliable production and take the alliance from strength to strength.

The extension builds on the initial alliance agreement announced in April 2024 and reflects the strong operating and safety performance delivered under the alliance framework.
