Today we celebrate International Women’s Day — recognising the strength, leadership, and impact of women across every industry.

At Sunshine State Solar & Electrical, we’re proud to be a woman-owned and led business operating in an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. Solar and electrical are trades built on skill, hard work, and problem solving — and we believe opportunity in this industry should be open to anyone willing to step up and do the work.

As a growing renewable energy company, our team works every day to help Australian households and businesses transition to smarter, more sustainable energy solutions. Behind every installation is a team committed to quality, innovation, and looking after our customers.

Today we recognise and celebrate the women who lead, build, organise, support, and drive progress — both within our business and across the renewable energy industry.

Behind the scenes in China 🇨🇳⚡

We recently visited the SolaX warehouse and honestly… it was extraordinary. The level of organisation, quality control, and testing protocols are so far above expectations it really sets them apart.

From how every product is stored, handled, tested, and tracked before it even leaves the warehouse, you can see the pride they take in what they produce. Nothing is rushed, nothing is overlooked, and every system is treated like it’s going straight into their own home.

Seeing it firsthand reinforces why we trust SolaX as a manufacturer and why we’re confident installing their products for our customers.

This is what world-class engineering and accountability looks like.
Proud to partner with brands that genuinely lead the industry 🔋☀️

15/12/2025

We’ll be taking a short break over the holiday period and wanted to let all our valued clients know what to expect and how to prepare their solar systems while we’re closed. Please take a moment to read the information below so everything continues to run smoothly.

Holiday Closure Dates

We will be closed from 18 December to 5 January, reopening on 6 January. During this time, routine support and installations will be paused.

How to Shut Down Your Solar System (If Required)

Most solar systems can safely remain on while you’re away. If you prefer to shut your system down, follow these general steps:

Turn off the solar inverter using the on/off switch on the side or underneath the unit
Switch off the AC isolator (usually located next to the inverter or at the switchboard)
Switch off the DC isolator (often located underneath the inverter or near the panels)
Leave the system powered off until you return, then turn everything back on in reverse order (DC isolator → AC isolator → inverter)
How to Put Your System Into Backup Mode

If your system has battery backup and you want it ready for outages while you’re away:

Ensure the battery system is switched on
Check the inverter screen or app and confirm it is set to Backup / Self-Consumption / Emergency Power mode (wording may vary by brand)
Make sure essential circuits are connected to the backup supply
Test briefly by turning off main power to confirm the backup engages correctly
Inverter Faults and Wi‑Fi Reconnection

Many common inverter issues can be resolved quickly without a service call:

Most inverter fault codes and alarms can be found online by searching the inverter brand and fault code
Manufacturer websites and user manuals often provide clear explanations and reset steps
Wi‑Fi reconnection guides for most inverter brands are widely available and usually completed through the inverter app or setup mode
Monitoring dropouts are commonly caused by home Wi‑Fi or router changes, not a system fault
Contact During the Closure

If you need to reach us while we’re closed:

Please email [email protected] with your name, address, and a brief description of the issue
All emails will be intermittently monitored and we’ll get back to you in the new year once we reopen
If you’re unsure about your specific system or settings, leaving the system running as normal is usually the best option.

Thank you for your continued support. We wish you and your family a safe, relaxing holiday season and look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Over the past few weeks, our company and our owner have been the target of a coordinated online attack by an individual who became unhappy after we refused to tolerate abusive behaviour toward our staff.

This person has since encouraged others to join in, resulting in more than 50 of his friends liking and amplifying a personal attack directed at our owner. None of these individuals have ever been clients of ours.

We want our community to understand a few important points:

🔹 We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for abuse toward our team — just like many major companies, including Telstra and other essential service providers.
🔹 When unacceptable behaviour occurs, we are entitled to take appropriate action to protect our staff and our business.
🔹 We stand firmly by our work, our integrity, and our commitment to safety and professionalism.

Because this behaviour has continued and escalated — including ongoing personal attacks and attempts to damage our business reputation — we have now taken formal legal action and will be providing all evidence of these threats and coordinated activities to the police.

Our focus remains on the thousands of real customers who have trusted us for nearly seven years.
Our commitment to quality service, honest communication, and respect has not changed.

To our genuine clients and supporters — thank you for standing with us.
To our team — thank you for remaining strong and professional through this distraction.

Online harassment may be loud, but it will never outweigh the truth, the work we deliver every day, or the reputation we’ve genuinely earned.

💪 Sunshine State Solar & Electrical — Real Work. Real Values. Real Results. ☀️🔋

Our installation team has been working around the clock, completing over 200 kW of solar PV and 520 kWh of battery storage every single week for the past few months — and we’ve still got a huge six-week sprint ahead as we power toward Christmas! 🎄⚡️

For almost 7 years, we’ve stayed committed to one simple standard — excellence.
We’re not a loud company. We don’t buy awards (and yes, unfortunately, many in this industry are just that — purchased). We don’t tear others down to look good, and we don’t get caught up in industry drama.

As our owner always says — we focus on our trade, our quality of work, our clients, our personal growth, and our team culture. Every single day, we move forward with purpose — supporting our work family and achieving both professional and personal goals together. 💛

We’ll be honest — sometimes we can’t do it all. We can’t be everywhere at once. Some expectations are simply too high. But what you will always get from our team is honesty, integrity, and respect — and we ask for the same in return.

We don’t buy fake reviews.
We don’t run “free solar” ads or sell your data.
We’re not chasing noise — we’re chasing results and trust.

Here’s to finishing the year strong, staying true to who we are, and continuing to power homes and businesses across Queensland with pride. 🌞⚡️
