Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer – Flexible Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunity

Part-time, casual or full-time flexibility for the right person
Win Group is looking for an experienced and highly capable Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our Hervey Bay office.
This is a key support role within a busy property, project marketing, commercial property management and construction-related business. With one of our current team members moving on, we are restructuring the role so that general processing and data entry tasks can be supported by a Virtual Assistant, while this position focuses on the more specialised, sensitive and higher-skill accounting functions.
We are looking for the right quality person, not just someone to fill a seat.
About the Role
The core role is approximately 20 hours per week, however we are flexible for the right applicant.
This may suit:
A highly experienced bookkeeper looking for part-time or casual work.
Someone wanting flexible hours between school times.
An experienced accounts person looking for a long-term role with work-life balance.
A strong full-time applicant who is happy to split their time between bookkeeping and broader administration duties.
Our normal office hours are:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Every second Friday off
We are happy to consider flexible arrangements for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
The role will focus on higher-level bookkeeping and accounts tasks, including:
• Trust accounting for Win Projects and Hervey Bay Commercial Property Management
• Payments through NAB Connect and internet banking
• Payroll processing
• Superannuation payments
• BAS preparation and returns
• Telstra, Ergon and other major account management
• Resolving invoicing issues with suppliers and contractors
• Credit applications
• Supporting month-end and reporting processes
• Working closely with management and external accountants where required
General data entry and processing tasks will be supported by a Virtual Assistant, including standard invoice processing, bank reconciliations and basic journals. However, the successful applicant must still have the knowledge and experience to understand, check and manage these processes properly.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• Experienced in bookkeeping and accounts
• Confident with Xero accounting software
• Highly competent with Excel spreadsheets
• Very computer savvy
• Accurate, organised and detail focused
• Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive financial information
• Able to work independently and follow systems
• Confident dealing with suppliers, contractors and internal staff
• Practical, reliable and willing to take ownership of their work
Experience in property, real estate, trust accounting, construction or commercial property management would be highly regarded, but is not essential if you have strong bookkeeping experience.
