Oh, what a night! Southern Launch were proud to be finalists for the Medium Business of the Year award at the 2026 SA Premier's Business & Export Awards.

Thank you to the South Australian Business Chamber for the recognition, to the Hon. Chris Picton MP for his continued support and, congratulations to Bowhill Engineering for not only winning Medium Business of the Year but also SA Business of the Year. Very well deserved.

What a week at IAC 2026 in Türkiye!

The International Astronautical Congress provides a valuable opportunity to connect with customers and partners, building new relationships and share ideas with the global space community.

The Southern Launch team have spent the week in Antalya sharing their unique expertise and learning what comes next for the space industry.

Today Varda Space Industries hit a new milestone as not one, but TWO capsules launched aboard the Falcon 9, Transporter-18 Mission.

This is an incredible achievement, moving the needle towards increased mission cadence and the first step towards fleet operations.

Southern Launch is ready and waiting to collect the capsules once they make their individual entrances in the next few weeks. They'll miss Ceduna Oysterfest but will make for exciting night-time re-entries when the time is right 🌠

We'll be running our popular immersive rocket launch experience from 11am - 3pm.

The rumours are true, a brand new observatory and cultural stargazing facility is almost complete on the Far West Coast!

Developed with support from the Department of Social Services (DSS) Community-led Solutions Economic Development program. The Koonibba Observatory, owned and operated by the Koonibba Community Aboriginal Corporation is scheduled to open in late 2026. The observatory will support local tourism with stargazing activities, cultural storytelling and community gatherings.

Southern Launch was proud to support the development of this unique facility.

A week of work experience in a Space Company? Doesn't get much cooler than that! Southern Launch's work Experience program, now in its fifth year, is only growing in popularity!

This year almost 100 year 10 students applied, with nine successful applicants chosen to embark on a weeklong journey to discover what a week working in the space industry is really like.
