Demand for homes in Hobart is surging, with dozens of buyers turning out to single inspections across the city.

A West Hobart property drew 61 groups and 16 written offers last weekend, while a Lenah Valley home saw 65 potential buyers in one day.

Real Estate Institute of Tasmania president Russell Yaxley said the competition reflects low supply and stronger market confidence.

He described the current market as stronger and more settled than 2025, when buyers remained cautious.

Agents say first-home buyers are driving much of the activity, with well-priced properties attracting intense interest.

Sally is racing!!🚗🚗

On Friday the 14th of June Sally started day one of the 2024 winter Sh*tbox Rally from Melbourne to Alice Springs.

The event raises much needed funds for Cancer Council Australia, a charity close to Sally's heart.

Each day of the race has a theme making it all the more enjoyable, Sally and her co-driver did not disappoint on punk rock day!! 👩‍🦰👩‍🦰
