Memphasys’ direct-sales strategy in the Middle East & North Africa has moved from launch to live ex*****on.
Following the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS) Conference (4–6 December), A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA - who delivered a keynote address comparing Felix™ performance to DGC and Swim-Up methods - progressed directly into clinic-level commercial engagement.
Yesterday, Hassan toured key UAE fertility centres, converting conference demand into distributor readiness, onboarding discussions and procurement momentum.
This follows a strong week in Doha, including an International Technical Legacy (ITL)-sponsored Felix™ launch event and clinician-focused seminars.
Hassan is today heading back to Australia after two weeks of intensive market activation and commercial ex*****on.

Felix™️ System Launched in the Middle East and North Africa. Memphasys’ Felix™️ direct-sales strategy in Middle East North Africa (MENA) is in full motion.

Memphasys Director - Clinical Partnerships and Growth, A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA is currently onsite for the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS) conference (4th- 6th December). This puts Felix™️ directly in front of the most important audience: senior clinicians, scientists and distributors.

MEFS provides direct access to the clinical and procurement leaders who drive adoption and deployment. On 6 December, A/Prof Hassan will deliver a keynote presentation reinforcing Felix™️’s clinical strength and opening direct sales channels.

This comes after an intensive and highly productive week for A/Prof Bakos - delivering an ITL-sponsored Felix™️ Seminar in Doha and multiple clinic visits.

Following the conference conclusion, A/Prof Bakos will conduct a tour across the United Arab Emirates, a key commercial market for Memphasys to drive commercial sales in the region.

Memphasys’ Felix™️ device officially launched in Qatar. Direct-sales strategy in MENA is now fully activated.

Memphasys Director - Clinical Partnerships & Growth, A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA, is in Dubai on-site preparing direct engagement with the region’s senior stakeholders who determine adoption pathways and purchasing decisions.

Earlier this week in Doha, International Technical Legacy (ITL) sponsored a Felix™️ launch event introducing the device to Qatar’s market with representatives from the majority of clinics attending the launch event. The response was highly positive, generating strong engagement, follow-up requests, and actionable commercial interest.

So far, the busy week has also included:
- a Felix™️ Launch Seminar at Plaza Doha
- multiple targeted clinic visits and demonstrations
- a full-day engagement at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar’s largest ART centre

A/Prof Bakos is now gearing up for the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS) Conference in Dubai on 4–6 December, where Felix™️ will be positioned directly in front of key stakeholders across the whole of the MENA region.

Memphasys Director - Clinical Partnerships and Growth, A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA, is in Doha leading on-site Felix™ commercial planning at ITL preparing them to go direct and engaging their clinic networks and drive demand beyond the $390K minimum order quantity.

This marks the first phase of an intensive business-development push across the region, culminating at the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS) conference in Dubai, one of the Middle East’s most influential fertility conferences, where Hassan will take the stage as a keynote speaker to the region’s leading clinical decision-makers.

First up, Bakos undertook a full-day visit of the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the largest ART center in Qatar. Partner readiness. Client engagement. Commercial momentum. More updates soon!

A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA recently visited Jinxin Hospital in Chengdu — the second largest assisted reproductive technology (ART) hospital in China, and the largest in its province — as part of a multi-clinic China tour with Heranova Lifesciences.

The hospital is already using Felix™ for research and development, as Memphasys progresses toward formal product registration in China.

“This was a fantastic opportunity to work directly with some of China’s leading fertility specialists and deepen the hospital’s engagement with Felix™,” said Hassan.

The two-day visit, which took place on 9th and 10th June, began with a guided hospital tour by Dr. Penghao Li, Director of the Science and Research Department at Chengdu Jinxin Xinan Hospital. Hassan then conducted a troubleshooting session with Dr. Zina Weng in the Director of the Andrology Laboratory, followed by a presentation of the Felix™ System and its clinical data to hospital president Prof. Yuan Li and core laboratory staff.

On the second day, Felix™ was tested on 10 patient samples by Dr. Jing Wang, under the supervision of Dr. Xiangqian Meng, Director of the Embryology Lab. The hands-on training received strong support from senior clinicians and further strengthened confidence in Felix™ as a valuable addition to the hospital’s fertility toolkit.

This visit marks another important step in supporting clinical adoption of Felix™ in China, as Memphasys builds lasting partnerships across the region.

Felix™ on show at ISRG 2025. A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA has been representing Memphasys at the Heranova Lifesciences booth during the International Symposium on Reproductive Genetics (hashtag ) in China — connecting with leading clinicians, researchers, and fertility experts across China and Asia.

The booth provided a platform to showcase Felix™, our next-generation s***m separation device, as part of a broader initiative to introduce Felix™ into China and the region.

“There’s strong interest and engagement especially from local specialists,” says Hassan. “It’s encouraging to see such enthusiasm for the technology”.

Ahead of his keynote at hashtag , A/Prof Hassan Bakos PhD MBA visited the Reproductive & Genetic Hospital of Citic-Xiangya — the largest ART clinic in China.

In partnership with Heranova Lifesciences, Hassan delivered a lecture and live demo of Felix™, showcasing its potential to improve s***m selection in assisted reproduction.

This marks the start of a multi-clinic tour across China as part of Memphasys’ Asia expansion strategy.

Associate Professor Hassan Bakos PhD MBA has today presented our latest product development work on the Felix™️ System — a breakthrough in s***m selection technology designed to support improved outcomes in assisted reproduction.

The Felix™️ System uses a rapid, electrophoretic separation process to select high-quality, DNA-intact s***m without the use of damaging chemicals or centrifugation. It consistently delivers s***m populations suitable for ART procedures — regardless of recovery volume — and with no cytotoxic effects.

This innovation represents a major advancement in how s***m can be prepared for clinical use, offering a cleaner, faster, and more consistent alternative to traditional methods.
