SLS Builders With more than 30 years of building industry experience, the team at SLS Builders are experts in rural design and construction.

SLS Builders is a local building company in Humpty Doo, specialising in building new homes and sheds and carrying out renovations and extensions. We cater for rural clients and we have experience dealing with many local rural suppliers and tradespeople. Building a new home or shed in a rural area should be handled as efficiently as building in the city. Let us help you plan the entire process, from the design to the supply of materials and construction. Our team of experienced and helpful builders can manage all trades to ensure a professional finish. From the initial earthworks to the er****on of power poles and connection of your electricity, let us project manage for you. This ensures you can relax without being inundated with trade queries as you only have one point of contact. All homes are built using RHS Australian-made galvanised steel. SLS Builders can design and construct a home to suit your exact needs and specifications, from single storey homes with expansive verandahs to double storey homes with room for the whole family and plenty of visitors. Based in Humpty Doo, we pride ourselves on being a genuine rural building business. Our team services rural areas from Howard Springs down to Adelaide River, Jabiru, Darwin, Darwin River and anywhere across the top end. Be sure to give us a call to discuss your needs, we can undertake your next building project.

🏀✈️ FROM BUILDING THE COURT TO BRINGING AN AUSTRALIAN OPAL TO THE OPENING.

This one was pretty special.
Steve flew back out to Bulman/Weemol in the SLS Builders aircraft for the official opening of the basketball court delivered by our team — and this time he brought along someone who knows a thing or two about basketball.
Steve’s sister, Deanna Black (nee Smith) joined us for the day.

Deanna is a former Australian Opal, two-time WNBL Champion, three-time WNBL All-Star Five selection and former WNBL scoring champion, having played at the highest level in Australia and professionally overseas.
With basketballs donated for the community, Deanna got on court and ran a basketball workshop with the locals before everyone came together for a barbecue and the official opening.

For SLS Builders, completing the job is only part of it.

Being able to fly back into a remote community, see the court packed with people, put a former Australian representative on it with the kids and see the facility being used exactly as intended — that’s what makes these projects worthwhile.

Then it was back aboard the SLS aircraft and home to Darwin.
We build across the Territory. We back the communities we work in. And we’re proud to be there long after the concrete has set.

Shout out to Will Lauenstein for his attendance on the day for capturing these moments!!
