Best bit of advice weโ€™ve taken to heart. No one person makes DPR work.

Itโ€™s the whole team pulling in the same direction every day. The mechanics, the office, everyone. Thatโ€™s what keeps the cranes moving and every job done right.

From heavy diesel mechanic work to crane repairs across Sydney, none of it happens without the team behind it. Surround yourself with good people and back them. The rest takes care of itself.

These past few months moving out of our old workshop only comfirmed the strength of our team. Thank you for putting in the hard yards!!

We don't write our own reviews. The customers do. This one's from Andy, and we made Dom read it out.
Andy's based interstate and manages his cranes around Greater Sydney by email and phone. Never stands next to the job. Still reckons the workmanship is second to none, and that only works when the detail and the paperwork are right every single time.
"Dom's Plant Repairs is my go to mechanical team when I have cranes operating in and around Greater Sydney. Professional at all levels of business. Documentation for all scheduled servicing and repairs is detailed and provided in a timely manner. Dom has built a very knowledgeable team of technicians and administrative support who will go above and beyond to support you. Dom is a professional owner who understands the industry and is passionate about his business. As I am based interstate and all communication is by email and phone I know that the level of workmanship provided by Dom and his team is second to none."

Three years ago this workshop in Ingleburn was where it all stepped up.
Dom's taking one last walk through the place that let DPR grow from a mobile crane service in Sydney into what it is today. A lot of big jobs, a lot of long days and a lot of cranes kept running out of these four walls. A massive thank you to the team for backing us and giving the business the room to grow.
It's been a big few weeks juggling the move while keeping every crane in service, but this week we make it official. New workshop, next chapter.
Onwards. ๐Ÿ’ช

The person who designed our first logo was seventeen at the time.
Not seventeen and muddling through. Seventeen and already qualified. Emma finished school in Year 10, went straight to uni and had her first paid gig by seventeen. That first paid job was our logo.
Her dad was a plant mechanic and hydraulic engineer. He knew Dom through the industry and put the two of them together. That little yellow logo became the start of everything for us.
What we didn't know until recently was the rest of her story. Emma took a path that didn't look like everyone else's and it worked. She's since built her own business, Watts Cooking | Community Nutrition โœจ๐Ÿด, running community nutrition and freelancing as a designer in the education space.
And here's the part that stuck with us. That early start is exactly why she now chooses to homeschool her own kids. She saw first-hand that learning doesn't have to follow one set track.
It's a belief our founders share, homeschooling their own kids too. Different family, same thinking. That kids can learn in a way that actually fits them.
One introduction, from one bloke, back when none of us knew where it would lead. And in the twist none of us saw coming, the kids now go to the same bush school. Ten years on from that first logo, the two families cross paths again without even planning it.
Turns out we had more in common than a logo.

Every operator's nightmare right here!

This crane did a proper birds nest on the way down and it was game over until it was sorted.
Manual extension was bent so out came the old section and in went new wear pads. Then we re-spooled the winch rope back on properly.
Just another day of heavy diesel and crane repairs. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

She's back to looking as good as she runs! ๐Ÿ‘

Before DPR, there was the Pilbara.
Dom started out in the mines in WA, a long way from home and grinding it out like everyone does when they're starting. Then he met his wife, and priorities shifted. Time to build something different, follow us for happens next when Dom met the love of his life Amy | Christian Motherhood

That's where the roots of DPR really began. Funny how the best decisions usually aren't about the job at all.
