Here are E’s top pool safety tips for keeping little ones safe around the water 🏊
When it comes to pool safety, active supervision is key. Here are additional simple ways to keep your little people safe 👇
👉 Keep little ones within arms reach at all times when in or around the pool.
📱 Put your phone down - avoid all distractions like phones, books and be an active watcher.
👩🦰 Nominate a Water Watcher - have a designated adult actively supervising whenever kids around around or in the pool.
🌈 Choose visible swimwear - Bright high-contrast colours can make little ones more visible in and around the water. Avoid colours like blue, green or grey that can blend into the water.
⛱ Keep climbable objects away from the pool fence to stop little climbers.
🔒 Use a compliant pool fence and always ensure gates are locked and secure.
🔴 Have additional safety measures in place such as pool alarms.
💦 No running around the pool.
👨🦰 Never go near the pool without an adult around.
🏊 Teach kids water skills - learning to swim, float and safely exit the water can build confidence and safety skills.
