This is a nozzle holder, for a hydromulch truck I made (they spray all the green stuff you see on the embankments in construction sites).
It had to be compact, and be able to secure the nozzles so they dont fall out during transport, and be safe with no sharp edges. I made is so could simply be clipped over the existing safety rail. I also made a poker to clear line blockages and the end nozzle rod can be used to clear a blocked nozzles in a hurry.
Really happy how this prototype turned out, I did a quick sketch and measure on site and had it made that afternoon.

I had a very out of shape hopper on a screening plant that needed some love. I made my own do***ng plates and wedges. Then with the help of a come-along and BFG🔨 we gradually pulled the warped steel back into place and welded back together.
I have met some amazing people in my life, who I have been lucky enough to show me so many tips, tricks.

Cracking out the old stick welder and smashing through the hard facing rods. Hard facing laid down on all the main contact points and some new cutting edges to extend the life of the bucket.

I've had these butterflies rough cut for months, just taking room up on my bench. Was good to be able to clean them up and finish them off.
Made from 2mm corten steel, they look great once they have their patina going.

Couple of heat coloured wrens I made a while back for a friend for Christmas presents.
Heat colouring giving each one a unique pattern of blue/purple and brown.

To most people, this photo might not look like much, just an average day. But to me it is so much more.
Recovery from injury, especially as your getting older is not an easy road. The surgery, not being able to work, cronic pain, lack of sleep, post-op complications with several set backs. Then the realisation sets in that you will never be back to where you were pre injury.
This is my first 'big' job! 2 days and over 5kg of welding and hardfacing rods in very akward positions at work.
I'm sore, but being able to actually get down and do something like that for the first time in 2 years is huge!!
Hopefully now I can start making some metal art a bit more frequent, not just when my body let's me.
