It has been a remarkable month at Ecoelectric. We hit 2026 at full pace by delivering the first SMA Solar Sunny Island X project in Australia.
This 500VA 560kWh 530kW project was delivered in stages at a remote farming location in Mildura. We are beyond happy knowing that we are supplying stable power to an industrial scale farming facility that is setup to meet the world's growing food shortages. On top of that we have also made a significant contribution to the carbon problem by reducing diesel consumption by over 95%.
This system was delivered on a D and C basis primarily with SMA Australia. Their product offers an industrial level output with built in redundancy that gives us confidence over the service period. After reviewing several offerings this was the only solution that we were able to confidently say would fulfill our long term service and up time requirements.
With a project like this there is a very long list of people and organizations to thank. Firstly Id like to thank the client for their bold vision, and my staff for enduring the heat. Secondly to the SMA commissioning team (Moritz Schäfer, Pelangi Saichu and Ken Lee How) plus all the staff on site.
I can safely say that delivering something like this comes with many risks which would not have been overcome without our manufacturing and design partners at ElectraGlobe, Pylontech, Schletter Group and Trinasolar.
Finally to the procurement and delivery teams at
Solar Juice Pty Ltd and Battery Works Australia. This one was a risk for everyone so thank you for letting us think big so that we can think even bigger.
