Positions Vacant - HD Fitters, Diesel Fitters, Truck/LV Mechanics & Trade Assistants - Kalgoorlie & FIFO from Perth

Specialised Hydraulic & Mechanical (SHM) is growing, and we’re looking for skilled tradespeople and mechanically minded locals to join our team in Kalgoorlie.

We’ve got opportunities for qualified HD Fitters, Diesel Fitters, Truck/LV Mechanics, and a new Trade Assistant position for a local candidate wanting to get hands-on experience in a mechanical workshop.

Current Opportunities
• HD Fitters – FIFO from Perth (2/1 or 8/6)
• Truck Mechanics – FIFO from Perth (2/1 or 8/6)
• Diesel Fitters – Kalgoorlie-based (5/2 or flexible rosters available)
• LV Mechanics – Kalgoorlie-based (5/2 or flexible rosters available)
• Trade Assistant – Kalgoorlie-based (5/2 or flexible rosters available)- Ideal for someone mechanically minded who wants to build experience supporting qualified trades in a workshop environment. Previous experience preferred but not essential. Apprenticeship potential for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For
For Trade Qualified roles:
• Cert III in Heavy Diesel, Light Vehicle, Mobile Plant, or similar
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills
• Safety-first mindset and good team player
• National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
For the Trade Assistant role:
• A genuine interest in mechanical work
• Good attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and physically fit
• National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
