Another great example of how powerful, yet precise our Revotek Laser Cleaning machine can be along with what we can achieve!

These photos are of a couple of vintage aluminium caravans, one with a heavy coating of house paint and one with the original white paint. In both instances it involves removing paint from aluminium that is only 0.5mm thick, meaning the risk of blow through or distortion is very real with traditional paint removal methods such as sand blasting or mechanical sanding.

Our machine is able to quickly and efficiently remove the paint whilst leaving the underlying material in perfect condition. Additionally, minimal heat is generated removing the risk of distortion and damage.

Another unique job was completed by the Revotek Laser team today.

These parts were all from a vintage pinball machine and included a range of intricate moving parts that needed careful rust & corrosion removal prior to being re-painted.

With the use of the Revotek Laser, we were able to carefully remove all the rust, keep the heat down to a minimum, and get all the parts functioning again. Cleaning with traditional hand tools would have been tedious and not done a great job, and sandblasting would likely have blown through the thin metal or caused the moving parts to seize up with blast media.

The result; A very happy customer who now has a much quicker restoration job ahead of him before he can have fun again!

Here's another job that came through the Revotek Laser shop last week.

This stainless structural steel support had been beautifully fabricated however, required surface preparation prior to being able to be powder coated.

The Revotek Laser cleaned up the welds, removed minor surface rust, and etched the stainless making it possible to go straight from being 'cleaned' with the laser, straight into powder coating. It will then take pride of place in a stunning architecturally designed home on the Central Coast NSW.

It's been a while since we've posted, but we'll try to get a little more regular again!

This week we had a chimney flute in the shop that needed taking back to bare metal ready for powder coating in a different colour.

In this instance the Revotek Laser was the perfect solution due to the minimal heat generated, and the ability to clean the complex shapes around the top of the flute.

Straight from the laser cleaner and into powder-coating for this customer.

Today’s customer was in the final stages of readying their house for sale and needed to remove some unsightly overspray from the brickwork in a recently converted garage. With freshly painted pure white walls & ceilings, the white overspray on the mission brown bricks didn’t look too great, so we were called in to quickly and efficiently solve the problem for the owner!

Unlike traditional methods that would have likely involved nasty chemicals, the Revotek Laser:

• Produces no mess
• Uses NO harsh chemicals
• Requires little to no site preparation

Without the need to mask up for floors, furniture, or adjoining surfaces, this represents a significant time saving for the customer, especially considering the open home starts tomorrow! In this video, we demonstrate the Revotek Laser removing heavy corrosion/rust and grease from a vintage lathe chuck. This particular item was approximately 80 years old, so is extremely rare and valuable to the owner.
