We are delighted to have finished this "passive haus" designed home for terrific clients atop a hill over Lake Eildon. It has been a fine opportunity to exercise our passion for natural, out of the ground construction. The extensive stone work being consrtucted from rocks directly off the site and reclaimed yellow box timber off the property also being used.
It also presents an appropriate opportunity to introduce "THE ROCK PROFESSORS" (a division of Ground Up) specialising in natural rock and stone creations.

Congratulations to Ground Up Earth Builders, 2021 MBV Regional Building Awards (North East) – Category Award Winner for Best Custom Home $800,000-$1M.

A high level of skill was required to establish foundations, frame, and clad this building to the design requirements and in good time. And a high level of skill and craftmanship was involved in the internal fit-out and joinery installation. The foundations were established on steeply sloping rocky ground, the frame was custom designed two-storey structure built to tolerate snow loading and cyclonic conditions. The external cladding was all installed to satisfy the BAL40 requirements of Mt. Hotham, and the joinery and fit-out was all designed and custom built. All these tasks were all undertaken and very well executed by members of Ground Up Earth Builders team.
