We offer two types of heater- Heatboss (For Smart Meters ) and Heatwave (For Solar Power)

They can both benefit from rooftop solar but will need off peak or “time of use” power as a back up. To select the right unit for you and for a quote, it would be great if you could let us know the following;

a) Size of room/s you want to heat? Eg Smart meter or separate off peak meter? (If you’re

not sure pls send a copy of your last power bill and we’ll work it out)
c) Your location (for freight)
d) Any rooftop solar? Basic differences;

HEATBOSS (Convection heater)

• Provides more constant warmth day and night. So if you are occupying the house as your full time residence, or are home during the day, this is going to provide comfort for longer periods.

• The controls are all built-in and it can work with both “time of use -Smart meter” and off peak power. And it also has a second charging period that can use your peak solar production times if you have solar panels. You can then adjust up or down, once you get an understanding of your house PV usage by other appliances so you can optimise the solar energy going into the heater, and back up with minimal controlled load off peak or time of use.

• Great for bedrooms and study (silent) and smaller living areas. HEATWAVE (Fan assisted heater)

• It is able to heat the room up quickly and has more capacity for larger areas. Suits homes where the occupants are away during the day and need instant warmth before and after work, for example.

• The Heatwave uses a low noise fan to deliver the heat from the core of the heater to the room. So it cycles on and off to meet the room heating loads based on the wall thermostat set point. (It will let some heat migrate into the room even when the fan is off, but mostly relies on the fan to maintain the room warmth).

• It is designed for a larger space and larger solar systems, so a rooftop power system of 5 kW PV or more would usually be Ok to put some charge into the heater depending on what appliances are in operation. It uses our external controls to manage the room temp and charging times.

• Great for larger living areas, offices, cabins, school rooms, apartments. Prices for the units range from RRP $1299 to $2599 however some extra accessories may be required depending on your installation. Freight is extra.
