This week, we recognise National Reconciliation Week 2026, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to reflect on the role each of us plays in building a more just and respectful future.

This year’s theme, ALL IN, reminds us that reconciliation isn’t a once‑a‑year conversation. It’s something we commit to every day through the way we work, listen, and show respect.

At TLEA, we’re committed to strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and contributing to a future where communities can thrive alongside our operations.

Let’s listen, learn, and take meaningful action together.

Last week, our team gathered before dawn to welcome local Elder, Barry Winmar, who led a traditional smoking ceremony on site as part of our ongoing recognition of the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate.

Smoking ceremonies are an important cultural practice, used to cleanse an area and offer protection to people working within it. The ceremony provided an opportunity to pause, reflect and show respect for culture, community and Country.

We’re grateful to Barry for sharing this meaningful practice with us, and to all team members who took the time to come together in support.

Last Thursday, our team visited Gilmore College in Kwinana to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Year 10 students completing their Certificate I in Leadership.

Over a BBQ lunch, we spoke about the next steps in their career pathways and shared our own experiences of what working in our industry can look like.

It was a wonderful opportunity to listen to the young voices in our community and support their growing curiosity about the industry.

It was a pleasure for our team to take part in the University Engineers' Club (UEC) Networking Breakfast this month!

Meeting a talented group of university students, many destined to be our industry’s future leaders, was rewarding. Their curiosity and ambition made every conversation valuable.

Events like this highlight the importance of staying connected with emerging talent and supporting their transition from university to industry.

A cleaner future starts with smarter processes.

Through leading circular‑economy principles and production methods that maximise every part of the spodumene we extract, we’re moving closer to becoming a waste‑free facility.

We’re excited to announce that through the TLEA Kwinana Community Investment Fund, our employees have chosen to support Befriend Inc Kwinana Community Lounge initiative.

Befriend Inc is partnering with residents to transform the Wellard and Bertram community centres into welcoming 'public living rooms' serving as vibrant hubs where people can meet, connect, and find belonging.

Throughout the year, the lounges host weekly drop-in sessions, and a series of pop-up multicultural experiences will be offered, creating inclusive spaces for everyone to come together.

Building stronger communities starts with small, meaningful moments of connection. We’re excited to help make them happen.

TLEA's legacy of success in action 🎓

Last week, we celebrated four Production Technician Traineeship graduates, recognising the dedication they’ve shown over the past two years as they built their technical capability, confidence, and hands‑on experience.

We also welcomed our two new trainees, continuing our commitment to supporting young people through education.
