🏭 Behind the scenes at Kwinana Energy Recovery!

Last week we welcomed around 20 community members and representatives from the City of Kwinana for our first ever community tour. Visitors got to see the tipping hall, sit in the driver's seat of our mechanical sorting crane, view the furnace in action and check out the conveyor system that recovers metals for recycling.

The tour wrapped up at our car park, which was constructed using aggregate produced from the ash by-product of our energy recovery process. It's a great example of how we turn waste into a valuable resource, supporting a more sustainable and circular approach to operations.

We're proud to open our doors and show the community how we safely turn non-recyclable waste into renewable energy.

The program reflects ACCIONA’s approach to working alongside local communities, ensuring major infrastructure projects deliver benefits beyond its core purpose.
