🔧 Apprentice Update 🔧

We thought it was about time we introduced the newest member of the B&M Welding team...
Meet Taj, our 2.5-year-old apprentice! 👷‍♂️

His current qualifications include:
🔩 Borrowing tools without permission.
🔩 Relocating spanners to places no one would ever think to look.
🔩 Conducting random toolbox inspections.
🔩 Offering plenty of "helpful" advice while jobs are underway.
🔩 Keeping quality control on snacks and smoko.

We're still working on teaching him the difference between borrowing and permanently relocating Dad's tools... but we're confident he'll get there! 😂

At B&M Welding, we like to start training them young (even if productivity drops every time the apprentice clocks on).
Thanks for keeping us on our toes, little mate. ❤️
No tools were permanently lost in the making of this apprentice... we hope. 😅

From flat pack to finished product! 👌🔥
This custom bucket done for a client, We traveled out to Bibra Lake for this one. This arrived as a flat pack and was fully assembled by the B&M Welding team.

From lining up and fitting the components through to welding, bracing and final fabrication, this was a great project that showcased the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. Every plate, seam and support had to be fitted and welded to ensure a strong, durable bucket ready to go straight to work.

We're proud to see this one completed and another happy client. 💪

⚒️ Another Deadline Saved! ⚒️

This client gave us a call after the cutting edge on their bucket snapped clean off. With a deadline fast approaching they needed a quick turnaround to get back on site.
We got the bucket into the workshop, prepped it up, welded the cutting edge back on, and had it ready to go in no time. 💪

Safe to say the bucket wasn't cutting it anymore... until it came through our workshop! 😆

At B&M Welding services, we know downtime costs money, so we work hard to get repairs completed quickly, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Another solid repair done and dusted 💪
This one was a side check plate repair on a 962 bucket. These buckets take an absolute beating in the field, so when the side plates start to wear or crack, it’s important to repair them properly before it turns into a bigger (and more expensive) problem.

We cut out the damaged section, prepped it right back, rebuilt the area and reinforced it to make sure it’s ready to get back to work. Strong, clean welds and built to last — exactly how heavy gear should be done.

I’d love to show you the finished product… but unfortunately Employee of the Month (who is also the only employee 😅) forgot to take a photo before it went back out on site.

🔥 MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE SCENES🔥

Every good welder needs someone behind the scenes making sure the sparks stay in the workshop… and not in the inbox.
Meet Bri – Mick’s better half and the one keeping B & M Welding running smoothly (and legally 😉).

While Mick’s out fabricating, welding, grinding and creating magic with metal, Bri is:
📋 Handling the paperwork
📱 Running the social media
✉️ Answering emails
🧾 Sending invoices
📸 Reminding Mick to take photos of his work (still a work in progress)

And if that wasn’t enough… she’s also a night shift nurse ( currently on maternity leave) — running on caffeine, compassion and minimal sleep.

Somehow in between night shifts and raising our crew of little apprentices 👧🏻👦🏻👦🏼👶🏼, she keeps this small family business ticking along.

Bri isn’t just the one behind the emails and invoices — she’s a proud local, having grown up in Lancelin since she was 6. This community has always been home, which makes supporting local businesses and families something she genuinely cares about.

If you receive an email or invoice outside the usual 9–5, it’s likely been sent between night shifts or during the only quiet moment in a busy household. And if there’s a touch of background noise on a call — that’s just our small business headquarters in full swing.
