The old saying goes that when you build a bridge, you tell your kids about it every time you drive over it.

Nobody warned our families that this one carries 20,000 trips a day.

We’re proud of the BridgePro crew who had a key part in building this bridge including the piers holding it all up. There were 100 or so BridgePro team that were part of the 1,000+ Tasmanians who got the job done.

It wasn’t too long ago that the first piles on the Bridgewater Bridge went in.

Today, there are 20,000 trips over the award-winning bridge each and every day.

One of the biggest projects Tasmania has ever built.

And built successfully because of the hard yakka of more than 1,000 Tasmanians.

Now to be enjoyed by our future generations.

We’ve come a long way as a State.

Yes, it’s important that we protect our lifestyle, and our way of life.

And by building big, and for the future, Tasmania’s best days will be ahead.

New Kit Day at BridgePro

We normally post about new cranes or diggers. Today's different.

Our team put BPE's new handheld LiDAR scanner through its paces in the workshop this week. Five minutes of walking around, and we had a full 3D model of the steel extensions being fabricated - accurate enough to check straight back against the design file in our CAD software.

The verdict: our fabrication crew is doing an excellent job keeping everything square and straight on a complex job. Nice to have the data confirm what we already knew.

Beyond the check, scanning during construction lets us build millimetre-accurate as-built models that capture what is inside the structure - reinforcing, conduits, embedded services - not just the finished surface. Twenty years from now, whoever needs to adapt that asset will have a proper record of what is in it.

Engineering is what sets BridgePro apart, and we will keep investing in the tools that let our engineers do their best work.

🏆 HIGHLY COMMENDED – EQUIPMENT OPERATOR OF THE YEAR 🏆

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Sam Murphy, who was awarded Highly Commended – Equipment Operator of the Year at the 2026 CCF Tasmania Earth Awards.

For those who know Sam and have worked alongside him, this recognition will come as no surprise.

As BridgePro’s Barge Master and Marine Superintendent, Sam brings 17 years of industry experience and an exceptional combination of marine command capability, heavy construction expertise and practical knowledge to some of our most challenging projects.

Working in environments where tidal movement, vessel stability, offshore weather and heavy lifting operations all need to be managed at the same time requires enormous skill, judgement and composure. Sam does this with a level of professionalism and confidence that is greatly respected across our team.

But what we appreciate most about Sam goes well beyond his technical ability.

He is dedicated, dependable and deeply committed to his work. He leads calmly under pressure, puts safety first, plans ahead, supports his team and willingly shares his knowledge with less experienced operators. His work ethic and commitment set an example for those around him.

Sam also played a critical role in the successful delivery of our Port Latta Fender Replacement Project, coordinating complex offshore jack-up barge, crew and lifting operations in Bass Strait.

Sam, we are incredibly proud of you and so appreciative of everything you bring to BridgePro. This recognition is thoroughly deserved. Congratulations! 👏🏆

🏆 APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR - JAI WYNWOOD 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder to congratulate Jai Wynwood, winner of the Ashley Cooper Civil Trainee / Apprentice of the Year at the 2026 CCF Tasmania Earth Awards.

Jai’s achievement is incredibly well deserved. Throughout his apprenticeship, he has demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, commitment to his trade and a genuine drive to continually develop his skills.

Jai has become the highest-qualified welder in our workshop, mastering advanced welding competencies and contributing across some of BridgePro’s largest civil construction projects.

What makes this achievement even more special is that Jai has followed in the footsteps of his dad, Jason Wynwood, who has been a valued member of the BridgePro team for nearly five years.

We are incredibly proud of Jai for building his own reputation through hard work, skill and determination, and equally appreciative of Jason for the knowledge, experience and guidance he continues to pass on to the next generation.

A very special achievement for Jai, Jason and the whole BridgePro team. Congratulations Jai - we couldn’t be prouder! 👏🏆

🏆 DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AWARD – WINNER! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to have BridgePro OS recognised as the winner of the Digital Technology Award at the 2026 CCF Tasmania Earth Awards.

Rather than adapting an off-the-shelf construction platform, BridgePro developed its own digital operating system in-house — purpose-built around the way our people work and the complex projects we deliver.

BridgePro OS connects our safety, engineering, tendering, project delivery, plant, HR and finance functions into one integrated digital ecosystem, giving our teams access to real-time information from the office to the field.

From live project and safety dashboards and digital field reporting to AI-assisted safety reviews, compliance monitoring and tender-to-delivery workflows, BridgePro OS is helping our people work smarter, safer and more efficiently.

What makes it truly innovative is that it has been built around BridgePro — not BridgePro built around the software. It can continue to evolve alongside our people, our projects and our business.

A very special congratulations and thank you to Anthony van Eysden and Karl Rolfe, whose vision, technical expertise, innovation and commitment have been instrumental in developing and continually advancing BridgePro OS.

An incredible achievement and wonderful recognition of home-grown innovation within BridgePro. Congratulations Anthony, Karl and everyone who has contributed to bringing BridgePro OS to life! 👏🏆

🏆 PROJECT OF THE YEAR – WINNER! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to have our Port Latta Fender Upgrades recognised as the winner of the Project Value Up to $2 Million category at the 2026 CCF Tasmania Earth Awards.

Delivered for Grange Resources, this was no ordinary project.

Working 1.8 kilometres offshore in open tidal waters, our team overcame complex marine access, weather, structural remediation and logistical challenges to replace critical 55-year-old fender infrastructure.

The project showcased the breadth of BridgePro’s capability across engineering, fabrication, marine construction, temporary works and project delivery — including the offshore deployment of our jack-up barge and 55-tonne crawler crane, and an innovative helicopter concrete delivery operation.

Successfully delivering a project of this complexity required exceptional planning, ingenuity and collaboration across our entire team.

This award is wonderful recognition of the skill, dedication and capability of our people, and we thank Grange Resources for their trust and collaboration throughout the project.

We couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding achievement! 👏🏆

BridgePro is proud to be contributing to the transformation of the SeaRoad wharf as part of TasPorts’ QuayLink Project in Devonport.

Tasmania’s ports are more than places where ships arrive and depart. They are vital gateways connecting our island’s businesses, industries and communities with mainland Australia and the world. They support jobs, strengthen our economy and create opportunities for generations of Tasmanians.

This project is about more than upgrading a wharf. It is about building the capacity, resilience and connections Tasmania needs to thrive and prosper long into the future.

At BridgePro, we build with a purpose greater than ourselves—delivering infrastructure that will serve communities, support industry and create opportunity for people we may never meet.

We are proud of our team and everyone working together to deliver this important project for Tasmania.

Constructing for future generations.

The QuayLink Project at Devonport Port has future-proofed one of Tasmania’s most important freight gateways.

These upgrades will ensure the port continues to deliver safe, efficient and reliable freight services for decades to come.

Supporting a local family 💙

Giving back to the communities we live and work in is a core part of who we are at BridgePro. One of the ways we do this is by giving every team member $300 each year to donate to a cause that's meaningful to them.

Recently, three of our team members chose to combine their contributions, donating a total of $900 to support the family of a man who was seriously injured during the recent home invasion at Coles Bay.

When our people learned of the fundraiser through a connection to the family, they didn't hesitate to help. It's a reflection of the compassion and generosity that exists within our team.

We're proud to empower our people to support the causes that matter most to them and to make a positive difference in the communities connected to our people and our projects.

Our thoughts remain with the family, and we wish them strength and healing during their recovery.
