Don't let the stunning sunny views deceive you, we can assure you that the sun was only there for looks the day this job was installed, it was a very fresh -2 🥶 degrees when the team arrived to start the install process! Once again we feel humble and proud that we get to play a part in creating so many gorgeous homes and this one will enjoy many family memories for years to come once complete.

We recently completed the lower lever steel installation on what will be an absolutely stunning home on the Tamar River. Slightly different from the usual, this one required stud welding (and yes as you can imagine, there were all sorts of bad puns thrown around the workshop haha!) for the bondek sheeting for the top floor concrete. The team will be back to install some upper steel work further into the build and enjoy another gorgeous day overlooking the Tamar.

Oh no, guess who's figured out how to post videos hahaha!
We use a desk top computer and a program to schedule and post our socials and just found a video button (and yes, our socials guy feels very pretty stupid 🤣) Here is a motorized gate we recently installed, self supporting with no wheels this 1500mm high x 6.2wide this beast looks gorgeous in powder coated Monument from every angle! We exclusively use Frank and the team at Gate Open, Gate Closed for all of our automation requirements. They only use the latest and best technologies, fully integrated systems and safety beams. Something a little different this week and its honestly something that we should see more often. In such a disposable world we seem to be living in, a customer was moving house and their stools didn't fit their new set up so instead of selling (or throwing them away) they called in and asked if we could cut the backs off them! With a little slicing and a little sanding the sharp edges away the customer had almost brand new stools again, perfect for their new house!

Following on from last weeks post here is another example of how, with the right attitude and creativity, almost anything can be achieved! With the only access to the rear of this property a very tight narrow walkway our team were able to get these huge posts in and up before the ever reliable heavy lift crew from Cranes Combined arrived to help us get the structural members over and into place. We get to fabricate and install a lot of various things but we were all jealous of the views that these great customers are going to have from their multi level deck for years to come!

Never one to shy away from a challenge we once again called on our good friends at Cranes Combined to help lift into place a large prefabricated deck section as well as a large (and very heavy!) steel staircase. Just because you don't have vehicular access to be able to install heavy, intricate renovations to your house doesn't mean you should miss out, we very rarely come across a challenge we can't find a solution for!

Elegance at its best! Not only do we do bulky structural steel fabrication but we also get to do more elegant work like this absolutely gorgeous fence and gate. Having a security fence doesn't mean that is has to be ugly, plain, simple or industrial looking and this is a perfect example of what can be achieved. Powder coated in a stippled Mannex Black finish for a more durable finish its hard to disagree with how good this one has come up!

Check out this large commercial gate we recently completed! Clocking in at 1800mm high x almost 7000mm wide with 3 removable mesh infill panels, powder coated satin black. Where this was installed was a high traffic area for the customer so we went with the removable mesh panels, that way if any get damaged they can be easily replaced compared to a fully welded set up. We think it came up a treat and really fits in well with their recent development!

Connecting spaces together. No more having to wait under one side for a break in the rain to make the mad dash to the other, especially when its not a small distance to cover! This steel frame once completed will make for a great under cover walkway and foot path to ensure people make it safely across the passage with no more slip and sliding on the wet grass and mud. A fun project to fabricate and install for a great customer.

Creating more amazing spaces! Wanting a more usable space this amazing customer allowed us the opportunity to design this fully bolt together steel structure to fix to their existing deck to give them a better area for use all year round. Powdered coated to match the house we all agree that its the perfect accompaniment to the already great back yard space and we hope they get many years of enjoyment, whether entertaining guests of relaxing and enjoying a quiet beverage or 3!
