WOW, what a spectacular Awards Night!!!!✨✨✨ I'm honoured to be awarded the 'Rising Star' award for Dale Alcock Homes, which recognises outstanding Growth, Innovation, and Achievements. It means so much to be recognised for the time, energy and effort I put into every day in my role as a New Homes Consultant. I absolutely love helping people build their 'Dream' home, which is why I continue to show up!!! I am so proud to work for an organisation that provides funding for important community initiatives, like 'Garden of Hope', a wonderful initiative supported by the Salvation Army and Dale Alcock Homes which provides a faith-based safe haven for recovering adults who have fallen victim to drug and alcohol abuse. It's a peaceful place in nature where those who are overcoming drug addiction can heal and recover. We gathered together as a team and spent the day gardening, weeding, potting and planting, to ensure the garden thrives for all to enjoy. Hearing from Mark (who runs the garden with his lovely wife) was a highlight, and shedding tears as he shared his personal experience as a young person struggling and suffering with drug addiction. It's a special place that brings the local community together, and allows those who are feeling lost and alone to feel connected. Dale Alcock Homes has offered financial aid for many years and continues to do so. I'm so proud of what we are achieving as an organisation, and I loved being able to personally be involved and contribute!

A big 'thank you' to Niamh & Ultann for trusting me with their build! They have just completed their 'Selections' and have almost reached RTS, next is 'Slab Down'. We are 'flying' through the process... they will have their keys in no time, very exciting!

Building a new home is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Finding a suitable block of land in your dream location, and customising your design is manageable, but deciding which flooring, bathroom tiles, paint colours, paving options, tapware, door hardware... and the finishes (polished chrome, polished nickel, black, pewter, gold or brass), can be confusing! I recommend visiting our beautiful 'Home Collective' showroom, where you can view all the premium products and choices, and create a shortlist of your favourite 'must have' products. Creating your own 'mood board' is helpful, and having a collection of inspirational images showcasing your preferred style/theme and overall look and feel you'd like to create. Prioritise the items on your wishlist, and consider booking a Home Collectice tour prior to committing to a builder, so you can view the standard inclusions, and decide on any items you might wish to upgrade. Happy New Year!! Who's trying to entertain kids at home during the school holidays? I have a basic Lemon Cake recipe that is so easy and absolutely delish! It's so simple you can make it with the kids... and they will literally watch as it bakes! Recipe below.
Qn. Who loves a large 900mm wide oven? Or do you prefer 600mm wide? I must say I miss a larger oven as I like to cook a large fish, or large ham/turkey for Christmas... although my 'double' ovens do come in handy for baking! Something to think about when selecting your kitchen appliances. PS a large 900mm oven & cooktop comes included in our home price Brands like Westinghouse and Inalto are included as standard! Enjoy the 🍋 cake!!

Recipe::
1 & 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 lemons grated
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup natural greek yoghurt
2 cups self-raising flour

Method::
1} In a bowl, mix rind, oil, eggs & sugar with a fork
2} Add remaining ingredients and combine well
3} Pour into greased ring tin and bake at 180c for 30 minutes
4} Leave to cool then turn out and dust with icing sugar

It was such a pleasure helping Ultann & Niamh with their new home build! They built a Dale Alcock home back in 2019, and after having their two girls they realised they had outgrown the property. There is always a reason why a family wants to build a new home, and it's usually because the home they've got is no longer working for them. Helping people find the next step is a process I love. I can help find the perfect piece of land, the perfect community/lifestyle, and the perfect home design.
