Our core business for many years has been maintenance of small and large scale buildings and complexes. The family based business was initially established in 1996 and was known as ‘Main on Maintenance’. As the

company expanded the business was renamed in 1998 to become Main on Construction and Maintenance Pty Ltd (MCM). The service quality remains the same although it now delivers both professional and tailored maintenance and construction services. MCM prides itself on the quality of personnel within the company and has the belief that you are only as good as the people working for you. Staff from senior management to the on the ground staff are committed to providing an efficient quality service ensuring total customer satisfaction. We believe that working together as a team is the key to maintaining employees who are motivated and satisfied in their roles within the company when it comes to getting the job done. Project Update – The University of Sydney

Over the weekend, Main On Construction & Maintenance Pty Ltd successfully completed the careful removal of the solid cast iron capping from the heritage chimney tower at The University of Sydney.

Through detailed planning, precise coordination, and strong teamwork, the structure was safely braced and craned off without incident — marking an important milestone in this heritage restoration project.

Well done to everyone involved for their professionalism and attention to detail. 👷‍♂️🏗️

Seven Bridges Walk 2025 🏃‍♂️🌉

Another year completed — 28kms across Sydney’s 7 Bridges Walk! This marks eight consecutive years of participation for the MCM team.

On behalf of our Directors, Joe and Daniel Chaar, and the entire Main On Construction & Maintenance team, we want to sincerely thank everyone who donated and supported this meaningful cause.

This year, MCM was proud to be recognised as the highest fundraising team, and we were deeply honoured to have a bridge named in memory of George Chaar, father of our Directors — now known as “The George Chaar Bridge.” 💙

We walk every year to honour loved ones, raise awareness, and continue the fight against cancer.

Project Update
Main On Construction & Maintenance (MCM) is proud to have been awarded a new fitout project. Stage One is now underway with a full office refurbishment. Once complete, the space will provide students and teachers with a modern computer lab, a 3D printing room, and new office facilities. We’re excited to see this transformation take shape!

The project also included a minor refurbishment, delivered with the same attention to detail and quality that defines our work.
