nd power millions of homes across the state and the country. Today, as a host community for energy generation, we inject more than $40 million a year into the local Lithgow economy along with out $1.2 million grant program benefiting schools, events and community organisations. We are proud of the contribution our assets and our workforce make to the economic prosperity of Lithgow and our nation. Since 2015, our purpose has been to ‘lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.’ To fulfil these ambitions, our portfolio, services and business activities are evolving, growing and changing and we will look distinctly different in the future. You may notice an increase in project activity around Lake Lyell and Mount Walker from late August as Lake Lyell Hydro progresses with the third phase of geotechnical investigations.

The investigations are expected to take place between 17 August and mid-December 2026 and will provide critical information about ground conditions to support the ongoing design and planning of the Project.
The work will be focussed on Mount Walker and at the edge of the Farmers Creek arm of Lake Lyell, however people may notice construction traffic in Marrangaroo, South Bowenfels and Rydal.

Local residents and visitors may notice increased activity and noise around the lake and on Mount Walker during this period, and we appreciate the community's patience while this work is carried out.
