Checking over a freezer room with reports of room not maintaining temperature. Freezer reaches -20c set point but when staff look at temperature display it’s at -12 to -14. Even with a 3k temperature headband the room was “restarting” at -12. Found unit low on refrigerant so when unit pumps down, it would take a long time for pressure to rise and cut back in.

Called for a cool room not maintaining temperature set point. Unit installed by another contractor.
Easy diagnosis, compressor cycling on/off on low pressure control, residue on base of unit and sight glass indicator short. New filter drier, Re flared the joins, installed rubber mount to stop liquid line rubbing and 6kg of gas sees this unit back in operation 1st fix.

Called to a cool room at 18 degrees. Compressor not running, faulty start and run cap both at 0uf. This unit has a starting in rush currrent of 40amps yet installer has powered it off a 10amp double GPO. Left outlet switch not operational and the right side had a hot join on the neutral, which would have been the likely cause of failure. New relay, caps and GPO (until we return with an isolator) Bit of history repeating itself by the looks of it, as there was 3 sets of faulty capacitors and relays next to the condensing unit.

New Bitzer semi hermetic compressor supplied and installed for a independent grocer on an emergency call. Called at 10am new compressor installed and operational by 3:30pm just before the heavy rain 🌧️ Freezers full of stock with minimal down time. Thanks to the team at for the compressor lift with fast turn around time on short notice.

Saturday call out for a freezer room not working. The trusty dtek stratus pin pointed a leak to a cracked weld on the body of the solenoid valve which caused the freezer room to loose its refrigerant charge over night.
