Continental Steel is proud to have achieved the highest standards in steel fabrication.

Following a full-day independent audit by Steelwork Compliance Australia, no major or minor non-conformances were identified in our QR-code–based traceability quality management systems.

As a result, Continental Steel has achieved dual certification to AS/NZS 5131 – Construction Category 3 (CC3) and AS/NZS ISO 3834 Part 2. This certification confirms our capability to deliver complex, high-specification structural steel projects in full alignment with the most demanding industry standards.

CC3 is often spoken about in terms of documentation. Auditors know it is proven elsewhere.

Under AS/NZS 5131 CC3, compliance is demonstrated on the workshop floor, where clear linkage exists between welding procedures, welder qualifications, and production welds; traceability is maintained through cutting, fit-up, welding, and coating; and where inspections are carried out at points in the process where corrective action is still possible, ensuring no mistakes.

This achievement reflects the standard Continental Steel holds itself to. When the steel we fabricate is what holds a building together, quality is non-negotiable. It is how we ensure the right outcomes for our clients, and how we know we have done the job properly.

🚀 And We're Off! 🚀

Steel er****on is officially underway at the Rosanna Library Redevelopment! With ASPEKT leading the project as the principal contractor, this marks the beginning of a transformative redevelopment that will turn the existing library into a modern, multi-purpose community hub.

At this early stage, we are already tackling key structural challenges to support the library’s innovative design—so much so that the crane has had to get the fly out! 🏗

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had at Continental Steel. It’s been a year filled with challenges, opportunities, and achievements, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.

From the installation of a state-of-the-art plasma machine to the continued development of a close-knit team that places quality above all else, we’ve made great strides in positioning ourselves as leaders in our industry.

The year hasn’t been without its challenges. We’ve navigated a volatile market and adapted to significant industry changes, emerging stronger and more resilient with each obstacle overcome.
