We’re excited to share a special update about our Timor-Leste employee Boni and his partner, Mylla, who are expecting their first baby! 👶🍼

As they prepare for their new arrival here in Australia, our DirectorJeff recently picked up a beautiful cot that was kindly donated by Grandma’s Place Kindergarten in Sarina to help the growing family get ready for their little one.

A massive thank you to Grandma’s Place Kindergarten for thinking of Boni and Mylla and helping them prepare for this very exciting next chapter.

From all of us at DCS, we wish Boni, Mylla and their little one all the very best for the journey ahead!

🦺 SAFETY RESET & TEAM BUILDING DAY ⛳️

At DCS, safety is about more than procedures — it’s about looking out for one another and building a team that communicates, supports each other and works together.

Our Directors and Manager genuinely value the people behind DCS, so following our Safety Reset, we swapped the work boots for golf clubs and headed to X-Golf for some well-earned fun!

It was a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, reconnect as a team and strengthen the relationships that are so important both on and off site.

A strong safety culture starts with a strong team. 💪

Hakim and Julie have recently joined the DCS team and have already made a great impression!

Both have been recognised for how quickly they’ve settled into their roles, asking questions, showing a genuine willingness to learn, and fitting seamlessly into the team. Their positive attitudes and commitment haven’t gone unnoticed, earning them a well-deserved reward for their efforts. 👏

It’s great to see new team members getting involved, learning quickly and embracing the DCS way from the get-go.

📢 Exciting Changes at DCS! 📢

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Aimee, who is joining the DCS team as our Training Officer! 👏

Aimee brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from her previous roles in site supervision and recruitment, along with extensive experience in onboarding and developing employees. We’re excited to have her on board and know she’ll be a fantastic addition to the DCS family.

At the same time, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to our very own SOP Queen, Jonna!

Jonna’s dedication, hard work, and invaluable contribution to DCS have helped shape many of the systems and processes we rely on today. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re incredibly grateful for everything she’s done and wish her nothing but success and happiness in her new role.

Tonight, DCS join the wider mining community in mourning the tragic loss of a fellow miner.

Our heartfelt thoughts are with their family, friends, loved ones, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.

Every person deserves to return home safely at the end of their shift. This heartbreaking incident is a reminder of the importance of looking out for one another, both on and off the job.

Big things happening behind the scenes 👷‍♂️

A huge shoutout to our Director and one of our legends in the workshop for getting the DCS shipping container ready and sent off to Blackwater! This will make a massive difference for our crew on site, giving them a secure and organized space to store equipment and PPE.

It’s efforts like this that keep our teams supported, safe, and set up for success every day. Appreciate the hard work and initiative that goes into making these improvements happen 🙌
