Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting 2MT Mining Products in Paget as they unveiled a new dragline bucket designed and manufactured right here in Mackay.

2MT has been operating since 2009 and this latest innovation is another great example of the strength, skill and capability that exists within our region’s resources sector.

From design through to manufacturing, this bucket has been built locally, with all components, including the locking systems, owned by 2MT.

As Mackay locals, it is fantastic to see their business continue to grow beyond our region, with their products and expertise now supporting operations across New South Wales and Western Australia.

This is exactly the type of innovation and manufacturing excellence that Mackay is known for — local businesses developing world-class solutions for the resources industry.
