NEW PROJECT AWARD | MACKENZIE NORTH HOPPER PROJECT

Hawkins Group are proud to announce the award of the Mackenzie North Hopper Project at Jellinbah Mine.

This project will see our team replace the existing ROM Hopper and associated infrastructure. Which includes demolition of existing infrastructure and construction and installation of the new hopper, including civil, concreting, steel er****on, electrical and commissioning.

This project is another opportunity for Hawkins Group to bring together our civil, structural and electrical capabilities to deliver an integrated solution within an operational mining environment for a valued repeat client.

We’re looking forward to working alongside the Jellinbah team and seeing the Mackenzie North Hopper take shape in 2027!

Hawkins Group CQ R U OK? Day 2026

Yesterday, our teams at CPB Contractors Bundaberg and CEFA Centurion Mine took some time out to recognise R U OK? Day and have an important conversation about mental health, checking in with our mates, and looking out for one another.
As part of the day, our supervisors delivered an R U OK? toolbox talk, encouraging our crews to recognise when someone might be struggling and, most importantly, to feel comfortable starting a conversation.

At Hawkins Group, we spend a lot of time talking about keeping each other safe at work — but looking after our people goes beyond physical safety. Sometimes it’s about noticing when a mate isn’t quite themselves, taking the time to check in, and being there to listen.
Ask R U OK? Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

It doesn’t take the perfect words to make a difference. Sometimes, a simple “Are you OK?”, asked genuinely, can be the conversation someone really needs.

A big thank you to our supervisors and crews at CPB Bundaberg and Centurion Mine for getting involved, having the conversation and continuing to look out for one another — both at work and beyond. 💛

It's official. The wait is over. Every great Australian story involves a shed, and ours is no different - except this one's a little bigger than what's sitting in most backyards.

Our new MIA workshop and warehouse is here, and the numbers speak for themselves:

🏗️ 396m² of modular buildings
⚡ 12,670m of cable installed
🔧 8,257 l/m of purlins and girts
🏠 9,800m² of cladding

Only thing that's missing is a boat and couple of rods... 🎣 😏
