Adam Finch has worked in the construction and coal industries in both supervisory and hands-on roles since 2001. His experience on some of Australia’s largest construction projects has given him valuable insight into quality workmanship, safety, and attention to detail. As a certified International Welding Inspector and experienced boilermaker, Adam oversees all projects at Archimedes Inc. He leads the workshop and serves as the principal designer, crafting unique solutions and custom parts tailored to the needs of the industry.

⚙️ Another solid project rolling out of the Archimedes workshop.

Big shoutout to the entire crew involved in the fabrication of these new rear modules 👏

From fabrication and fit-up through to assembly, finishing and final prep, this one was a full team effort and a great result all round. The fresh blue and red combo certainly makes them stand out in the yard too 🔵🔴

Proud to see the quality workmanship and attention to detail the boys continue to deliver on every build.

⚙️ From cut-out to completion.
Another solid rebuild rolled out the doors by the Archimedes crew for Glencore Hail Creek Mine 👏

This job involved replacing the complete accident-damaged floor section, supplying and fitting a brand-new floor section, followed by final pressure testing and final inspection before dispatch.

From stripping out the damaged section to fabrication, fit-up, welding, finishing and load-out, this one was a full team effort across the workshop 🔥

The before and after on this job tells the story pretty well. Taking a damaged unit and bringing it back to site-ready condition is what the crew does best.

Huge effort from everyone involved getting this one turned around safely and efficiently ⚡

🔥 Final TAFE block for Kaden! 🔥

Last week we headed over to CQUniversity to check out Kaden during his final 4th year TAFE block… and safe to say, the young bloke is absolutely firing. 👏⚒️

From fabrication work to building his own potbelly stove project, it’s great seeing the skills, confidence and workmanship continue to grow with every block.

Massive credit to Kaden for the effort he’s been putting in both at TAFE and in the workshop at Archimedes. The future’s looking bright for this young tradesman. 💪

Not long now until he’s fully qualified… and the apprentice tag gets retired. 🍻

Another tidy rollout from the Archimedes yard 👊

We’ve just completed and supplied a batch of Drill Prep Skids with folding STOP signs, purpose-built to keep site prep safe, controlled, and crystal clear when entering active drill zones.

These units are designed for:
