This great Australian Icon has stood the test of time and is the ideal alternative to electric, fuel, solar based pumps for water transfer. The Comet Windmill is a direct acting Windmill which means the power of the wind works directly onto the pump through the up and
down stroke created by the revolution of the wheel. In addition, the pumping power is increased due to fewer working parts than ot

her windmills that lose power through friction. The simple design means there is less power lost and lower wind speeds needed to start pumping.

We’re incredibly proud here at Comet Windmills to be featured in the Invest Nambucca Valley campaign, showcasing local businesses, manufacturing and innovation right here in the Nambucca Valley.

It was a great evening attending the official launch of the project and seeing our region, its businesses and the people behind them celebrated.

For Comet Windmills, being recognised as part of this campaign is especially meaningful. With a history dating back to 1879, we’re proud to continue manufacturing and supplying Australian windmills and renewable water-pumping solutions while calling the Nambucca Valley home.

A big thank you to Nambucca Valley Council and everyone involved in bringing the Invest Nambucca Valley – Invest in Growth project together.
