🐋 A different kind of job for the H.I Plant Services team today!

Today we had the pleasure of working alongside the DBCA and Parks and Wildlife Service to assist with the removal of a 9-metre humpback whale carcass that had beached at Port Kennedy Beach yesterday.

Our team worked closely with the DBCA and Parks and Wildlife crews on site to carefully coordinate the removal, providing the heavy machinery and experienced operators required to safely move the carcass from the beach and assist with its transportation.

With the size and location of the whale, the operation required careful planning, communication and teamwork between everyone involved to ensure the removal was carried out safely, efficiently and with respect for the situation.

It was a unique job for our team and certainly not something we get called upon to do every day, but we were proud to be able to put our equipment and experience to work when it was needed.

A big thank you to DBCA, Parks and Wildlife Service and everyone else involved for the great teamwork and coordination throughout the operation. 👏

Whale strandings are always difficult and emotional events for the local community, and today’s operation was carried out with great care and respect for the animal and everyone involved 💙

H.I Plant Services is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Moxy (Articulated Dump Truck) Operator to join our team in Perth.
We're after someone who is reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in their work. If you have experience operating articulated dump trucks and enjoy being part of a professional team, we'd love to hear from you.

To be successful you'll need:
✅ Current Moxy/ADT Ticket (Essential)
✅ Proven experience operating 40T/50T Moxy Trucks
✅ Current HR Licence (or higher)
✅ White Card
✅ Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
✅ Ability to complete daily pre-starts and machine inspections
✅ Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and within a team
