For Grant, the idea behind The Archive of Home is personal.

Growing up on the farm, building things in the shed and learning by doing, some of the memories that stayed with him were never the big occasions.
They were the details.

The places. The sounds. The things that happened so often they became part of everyday life.

That thinking has followed him into Hateley.

Because while we build the physical parts of a home, what those spaces eventually come to mean belongs entirely to the people who live there.

Laughter settling into the walls. The small moments that pass quietly, until they become the memories we carry.

Where will everyone gather? What does morning look like? What needs to feel quiet, open, connected or entirely their own?

Hateley Construct is growing, and we’re looking for the right people to join our team.

We’re currently looking for:
• Site Managers
• Carpenters
• Apprentices

We build high-end custom homes across regional Victoria, and we care about every detail. The quality of our work comes down to the people behind it, so we’re looking for people who take pride in what they do, think practically, solve problems and hold themselves to a high standard.

For experienced applicants, custom residential building experience and strong references are important.

For apprentices, we’re looking for attitude over a polished CV. If you’re keen to learn, prepared to work hard and genuinely want to build a career in the industry, pick up the phone and introduce yourself.

Most of life isn’t made up of milestones.

It’s coffee before anyone else wakes. The dog asleep in the same patch of sun. A familiar view. A walk you’ve taken more times than you could count.
Small things, repeated often enough that eventually you can’t imagine home without them.

And often, long before a home takes shape, there’s simply a place and an idea of what life there might become.
