Event ticket holders can access the FREE Event Expo Parking area from 8:30am on Saturday, and our friends at Suncoast Cabs will be running 2x Wheelchair Accessible Shuttles from the Event Parking Area to the Sunshine Coast Aviation Expo until 4pm.

Follow the signs and turn right at Kittyhawk Drive, to the Event Parking Area.

You MUST have a PRINTED copy of your ticket to show the parking team.

DO NOT Park in the Airport Short or Long Term Paid Parking areas.

The is a physically ‘extreme’ experience, in a special purpose aircraft built to military specification and registered in Australia in the ‘Limited’ Category. The design, manufacture, and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft on a commercial passenger flight. The passenger flies in the aircraft at his or her own risk. The passenger must be in good physical health. Minimum passenger age is 14 years. Maximum passenger weight is 125kg. Persons under 18 years of age will require a parent or legal guardian authorization.

Pilots and Aviators are invited to attend the Sunshine Coast Aviation Expo will be treated to a free breakfast from 7am proudly sponsored by the BreezyLog team and the Sunshine Coast Aero Club.

The Sunshine Coast Aviation Expo will be running a program of events and presentations specifically for pilots and aviators from 8am with presentations from:

- Civil Aviation Safety Authority - CASA,
- Recreational Aviation Australia,
- Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Australia
- BreezyLog

A number of aircraft manufacturers will also be attending the Expo with the latest Sling 2, Sling 4, Bristell and Bushcat models on display.

Visiting pilots are encouraged to consult the latest ERSA and supplements, and refer to NOTAM’s for special event zones and CTA hours.

If your career aspiration is to become a professional airline pilot then visit CQUniversity Australia at the Sunshine Coast Aviation Expo this Saturday at stand E1.

CQUniversity offers the Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Operations) in conjunction with the Graduate Diploma of Aviation (Flight Operations) that prepares graduates for aviation careers in the air transportation industry as a professional airline pilot.

Graduates will have all the aeronautical knowledge and flight training required to hold an Air Transport Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence with Command Instrument Rating. Graduates may be eligible to apply for cadetship or traineeship offered by some airlines.

Graduates may also be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Force positions.

Boeing estimates that the aviation industry needs to add 639,000 technicians over the next 20 years !

Aviation engineers and technicians are in short supply, and by Boeing’s figures, for every pilot we need to add, we need to add at least one technician.

There is growing demand for experts in airframe inspection and repair, including ones knowledgeable in composite materials.

Technicians skilled in engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, electronics and hydraulics are also desperately needed globally.

The team at Aviation Australia will be at the Sunshine Coast Aviation Expo all day and presenting on careers and training opportunities for Aviation Engineering & Technicians.
