Running a building company isn’t easy and we don’t pretend to have all of the answers. But we are committed to putting ourselves in the right rooms, surrounding ourselves with people who have walked the path before us and are running successful businesses, so we can learn from the absolute best of the best.

Our mentor Builder/ Developer/ Mentor / Podcaster kindly invited us to his new property & business in Tenterfield, NSW for the Annual LIVE LIFE BUILD Awards.

While it may have taken a 3.5 hour drive to Perth, a 5 hour flight to Brisbane and another 3.5 hour drive to Tenterfield, it was worth it to be in that room.

The knowledge. The little gold nuggets. The conversations. And most importantly, the friendships and support.

Behind the scenes, we spend a lot of our “free time” on weekends and nights working on ourselves and our business, constantly reviewing, tweaking, improving so that we’re providing the best possible service to our clients.

In the past year, we knuckled down on our processes and systems. From our pre-construction process to estimating, our client proposals, contracts, to schedules so these awards are great reminders that we’re on the right path.

Like most builders, we can’t travel anywhere without observing and learning from different cultures and their architecture and interior designs.

On our recent holiday in Greece, we had the privilege of staying in different Cycladic homes, including this beautiful one on the waterfront in a fishing village on Milos.

Famous for their white stucco walls and blue feature accent doors and windows, Cycladic homes are masterpieces of bioclimatic design, built to withstand the strong Aegean winds and regulate the Mediterranean heat.

Like all homes though, they are not set and forget. Before every holiday season, they are doing maintenance. Greeks take a lot of pride in their homes and it shows.

For most Australian’s, homes are their single biggest investment that they’ll ever make. But when it comes to maintaining the home, it’s often the first thing that’s forgotten.

With some new faces around here we thought it was time to re-introduce ourselves 👋

We’re Kelly & Nathan - fiancés and the couple behind Forest to Coast Homes.

We started our business in 2023 with a simple goal - to create extraordinary homes that our clients not only love moving into, but they enjoy the journey to get there. We deeply care about the work we do and the footprint we leave behind.

Having worked in the building and construction industry for over 19 years, Nathan has mastered his craft and knows what it takes to create beautiful, quality homes. He prides himself on his integrity and exceptional craftsmanship, and holds himself to a much higher standard than the current WA building industry. 

Kelly holds a double degree in a Bachelor of Commerce (Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Arts (Professional Writing), and is currently studying a Diploma of Interior Design. She has over 10 years of experience working in the corporate world for some of Australia’s largest organisations including Wesfarmers and the CBH Group. As the General Manager, Kelly is responsible for running the business - everything from Marketing, Sales, to Contracts and Legal, Finance, Project Management, Interior Design, Human Resources, and Strategic Development. Whatever you do, don’t call her admin 😇
