The clients who appreciate simple, capable and robust machines are usually the ones who understand the mechanics, the engineering and the principles behind them.

IMT has more than 50 years of experience designing, building, testing and supporting the piling industry worldwide, producing some of the most robust equipment made for drilling through hard materials as well as soft ground.

In this case, this IMT A140 is heading to Western Australia for our new client, who specialises in CFA and vibro hammer technology.

Many thanks to our new client — we can’t wait to be onsite with you and help you navigate the ins and outs of your new IMT A140. 🙏

Very Low Headroom?! 🤯

After six long months, the two brand-new MR-P 350s are ready to land Down Under! 🇦🇺

With improved ground-bearing capacity, a blade, increased rotary power, and wider track shoes, these little units are ready to take on some significant projects across New South Wales and Queensland.

Have we also mentioned they’re coming with three types of Kelly bars for extreme low-headroom applications — 7 m, 11 m, and 15 m drilling depths?

Available for hire, hire-to-purchase, or direct sale, exclusively through TerraQuip Drilling Equipment.

What makes a great equipment manufacturer?

It’s finding the balance between being nimble enough to listen and large enough to deliver.

Every market has its own challenges, and Australia is no exception — extreme heat, humidity, hard ground and demanding site conditions.

That’s why equipment needs to be built around the needs of the people actually using it.

“If it’s working, don’t fix it.”

That doesn’t seem to apply to the engineers at Marini. ⚙️

From a redesigned hydraulic system with dedicated micro-filtration, to auto-rotary, improved stability, wider track options and an integrated blade — every update is focused on making the machine more efficient and easier to operate.

It’s the attention to detail that makes us proud to represent Marini in Australia and New Zealand.

A 10-ton rig that’s worked on dozens of projects across Australia — from the Brisbane Tunnel and transmission lines to projects near the Opera House.

But even this little rig eventually met its match: extremely hard rock.

After drilling only around 400 mm in two days, the team pulled it back — especially considering even 40-ton class machines were struggling on the same ground.

Sometimes, it’s not about the size of the rig. It’s about the ground you’re drilling. 💪

Did you know Marini equipment was used at CERN? đź‘€

The Large Hadron Collider sits around 75 metres underground, where engineers faced extreme challenges drilling and consolidating rock in highly confined spaces—right beside some of the world’s most advanced scientific instruments.

A fascinating example of drilling technology being used where precision and reliability matter most.

🎙️ New Episode of TerraQuipTalk

Small footprint. Serious piling power.

In this episode, Mike takes a deep dive into the Marini MR-P 350 — a compact piling rig that has proven itself on restricted-access, low-headroom and challenging foundation projects across Australia.

From drilling 1.2 m diameter piles to working in tight spaces and even Marini's work at CERN, Mike breaks down what makes this machine so unique.
