Industry Update!📢

CITF Levy Threshold JUMP! 📈

Heads up, South Australian builders! BIG change to the Construction Industry Training Fund (CITF) Levy!

The threshold has INCREASED from $40,000 to $100,000 (excluding GST)! 🤯

This means if your building or construction project's development approval or construction commencement is after January 1, 2025, the CITF Levy now applies to projects over $100,000 (ex GST).

Quick Recap on the CITF Levy:

Payable by the project owner before building approval.
Project Owner = Head contractor, property owner (if no contractor at approval time), or government authority.
Applies to a wide range of works (buildings, roads, water projects, electrical, landscaping, etc.)

Important Dates:

Before Jan 1, 2025: Previous $40,000 threshold applies.
After Jan 1, 2025: NEW $100,000 threshold applies.
