Most gate quotes never mention the risk assessment. Ours starts with one.

Before any steel is cut, the site, the people using the gate and how hard it works decide what the gate has to be. Then structural engineering, then a hazard check, then a technical file the facility manager actually keeps.

That handover folder is the part nobody asks about until an incident, when it's suddenly the only thing that matters.

The choice between the two swing gate operators usually isn't yours to make. Your columns already made it.
