Eureka St Furniture is a rapidly-expanding retailer of furniture and home goods. Over the space of 4 months, they have turned their 10,000m warehouse from block stack into a fully pallet racked warehouse. They called in BOS Storage to consult with them on the best layout for their product and the most function type of racking, all with cost being at the forefront of the exercise.

Once the ball was rolling and BOS Storage had a racking proposal it was all hands on deck. Eureka St Furniture began filling out their entire warehouse with double deep racking. This allowed for maximum space-saving, as well as being extremely cost-effective. Storing oversize products such as couches, dining tables, desks, the utilization of height was a real benefit for them. Where once they could only store a single couch on the ground, they could now store 5 in the same footprint.

Double deep racking is an optimum solution for storing furniture. Firstly the cost is directly comparable to Single deep pallet racking because it's literally one bay behind another. To access the second bay you use a pantographic forklift, that reaches out and will access the pallet behind. This genius solution allows you the halve the number of aisles in your warehouse because the pallet racking is now 2 pallets deep instead of 1.

Our amazing team of pallet racking installers worked tirelessly to achieve deadlines set out. Each day installing 1 Run of ‘double deep racking’ ‘back to back’ 10 bays long 8.5m frames and 5 beams levels. This was a blistering speed and truly appreciated by the client. Narangba Timbers is a timber merchant located on Brisbane's northside. Specializing in fencing timber, boutique cuts, and hardwoods. This well-known company is one of the biggest independent timber merchants in Brisbane and is very well stocked. So much so that they needed more cantilever racking to hold more stock.
They called BOS Storage to discuss storing timber in racking that was outdoors. Being exposed to the elements BOS storage proposed that they use galvanized cantilever racks, which would be a perfect solution for storing hardwood out in the open.
On a newly poured concrete base, BOS Storage supplied 4.8m high upright, with 4 arm levels on each column. The Cantilever bases were Double-sided allowing storage on both sides of the upright, which is a much more cost-efficient way to use cantilever racks. Each arm was 1500mm deep and rated to 750kg UDL per arm. Spaced every 1500mm between columns centers the cantilever rack system is truly a great design for storing long products.

"Our client required more storage within their current warehouse. "

Bos Storage Systems met with management on site to discuss how to obtain more stock in the existing space. Some stock was heavy and bulky and could not be stacked on top of each other.
Bos’s sales representative came up with several solutions to accommodate the bulky items and allow for odd shaped sized skids to be stored safely. A deeper than standard Selective Racking fitted with steel shelf mesh decks catered for the oversize bulky items, allowing storage of multiple pallets in height.
Double Deep Racking was then retrofitted to the existing Racking giving storage of two (2) pallets in-depth for every level of Racking. d safely. The increase to storage exceeded expectations with the existing capacity boosted from six hundred (600) pallet positions to one thousand three hundred (1300)
All works were carried out whilst the customer was operating, allowing for very little disruption and impact to their business. Needless to say, the installation was delivered on time, on budget with a very happy customer!

The customer needed to move to find more storage space. With the new warehouses we needed to make sure that his Adapt-A-Lift machines would still work efficiently in the narrower aisles.
We had to carefully measure up the premises and confirm with the customer that the new space was appropriate for their needs.
This took 2 days to pull down and 4 days to erect.

Another Successful Storage Solution by BOS Storage Systems
Our client required storage of 700 Pallet Locations at 1000kg for each pallet. Bos Storage Systems met with Sam on-site to measure the space required to store the capacity of pallets within a segregated area. Bos Storage Systems design team submitted multiple plans before the client decided which design would work with the many other production sectors going into the building. The installation was delivered on time, on budget with a can-do approach.
BOS Pallet Racking is made from SS490 steel grade giving customers a stronger more robust product for the price. The BOS Beam has a shallower beam section that our competitors whilst still holding the same weight capacity, thus giving more storage area.

A flagship Coffee Brand that includes roastery-cafes and espresso bars, wanted a storage concept that was unique to its location and surroundings. The colour of this custom Racking solution meant that it would tie in with the urban look of the roasting area that is seen from their new café bar. Pallet Racking Pick Solution

This project was to integrate an e-commerce pick solution within an existing Bulk Storage System. The solution was to accommodate fifteen thousand, (15,000) SKU locations within the existing area storage. The requirement was to supply and install the picking solution on time & on budget with little hindrance on the company’s productivity. On top of the pick solution and number of 4 meters, long workbenches were supplied for staff to consolidate and pick orders on. The benches supplied were a combination of steel shelf mesh bottom level and timber for the top level.
