Second hoist box in two weeks. This on had some nasty surprises hiding beneath a previous repair (patch job) Hiding under some plates at an attempt to fix an issue that can’t not be fixed by adding plates. We saved the front sheet on this one and re-manufactured a new hoist box. The new hoist box was welded to the top of the long bearers, NOT THE FLOOR. Do it right and do once. A big thank you to Peter Mott Transport for choosing Maydens Group to look after you repair.

We finished of a busy week with this truck and dog fully rock ribbed. Fronts, side and tailgate on both body’s.

The old hoist box come adrift from this 5 axle dog. Time and time again we see manufacturers welding the hoist box to the floor, it only works for so long before the inevitable happens. This customer was very lucky. A big thank you Caley transport for choosing Maydens group to look after your repair requirements. Done once and done properly.

Re-furb to this little tandem axle trout
Repair consisted of the following
New chain
New cross bars
New puck track
New belt
New sacrificial rubber all round
New seal plates
The old 1985 Mack valueliner makes this combination very short, very cool old truck.

We finished off the week with a new Bartlett ball hood and tongue for one very lucky customer.
The worse thing with this particular set up was when the tongue finally let go the safety chains would have went with the tongue, which completely defeats the purpose of having safety chains. Anyway she’s all back together without a modified tongue and with re-located safety chain to actually catch the trailer if she ever was to come adrift from the truck. A big thank you to all our valued customers and we hope everyone enjoys there long weekend.

A run of accident damaged trailers seem to be the flavour of the month. Bent axles and chassis damage. This one consisted of the following.
New hanger
New axle
New guard poll brackets
New chrome guard polls
New guard
New under run
New rims
New tires
Finished off with a wheel alignment.
