University of Melbourne Engineers Australia Student Society (UMEASS) is a student-run multidisciplinary engineering club for students looking to lead a career in engineering and technology. - To facilitate communication between students and the organisation charged with accrediting the education required for recognition as a professional engineer.
- To connect students to a national community and organisation for professional engineering skills development and networking opportunities.
- To provide a platform for multidisciplinary engagement within the University’s engineering faculty for students to develop universal engineering skills outside of their course specialisation.
- To engage with students and industry to foster a more diverse and inclusive workforce within the engineering profession.
- To advise and prepare students so they may meet the requirements for achieving chartered status as a professional engineer in Australia.
- To inform and provide students with the resources available to them as a student or graduate member of Engineers Australia.
