If you’re tired of being overlooked, & you know you’ve got what it takes, you just need the practical skills & real-life knowledge, this is for you.

2. Engineers already working in the field, maybe as estimators, draftspersons, or in commercial or industrial areas, who are ready to transition into residential design with confidence. If you've been meaning to upskill but are unsure where to start, we've built this for you.

3. Migrant engineers, recent graduates, & engineers already working in the field who need to earn CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Hours or Points to maintain or work toward their registration in Australia. If you're aiming to become a registered engineer or want to stay compliant & relevant in the industry, our training programs qualify for CPD & give you real, hands-on learning, not just theory, so you're not only ticking a box but actually growing in the process. Our training programs and 3-month traineeships are Project-Based, which means you won’t be stuck watching endless theory videos. You’ll be designing and drafting real-life residential projects from start to finish, aligned with AS/NZS standards & using industry-relevant tools like Structural Toolkit, SpaceGASS, and AutoCAD. We don’t throw fragmented bits of information at you and expect you to “figure it out.” That’s not training, that’s guessing. Our training programs are structured, detailed, and step-by-step, equipping you with the real-life skills & knowledge you need to confidently enter the Residential Field. And because they’re fully online, you can join from anywhere in Australia. Throughout the program, everything you learn is immediately used in the real-life projects you work on as part of the training program.

“Should I have a baby?”

In this photo, I was only 1.5 years old. Whenever I look at it, that question crosses my mind.

I think about what it means to bring something into this world, to create it, nurture it, protect it, watch it grow, and hopefully see it become something that contributes positively to the lives of others.

And then I think about the last eight years.

For eight years, I have poured so much of my heart and soul into LearnPedia Australia and ANZ Engineers. Aleksandar (Alex) Jovanovski and I created them together; from our ideas, our ambitions, our experiences, our values, and ultimately, our sense of purpose and the impact we wanted to have in this world.

In many ways, I think of them as our babies.

We created them from nothing. We have nurtured them, worried about them, sacrificed for them, stayed up late thinking about them, made mistakes, learned, adapted, and watched them slowly grow into something much bigger than the ideas they once were.

Sushan has gained practical Australian residential structural engineering experience by designing and drafting real-life residential projects in accordance with Australian Standards and Codes, under the guidance and mentorship of a Senior Structural Engineer actively working in the Australian industry.

True or False?

“A structural engineer doesn’t need to step out of the office.
They can master real-world construction, buildability, site coordination, and practical design challenges without leaving the office, speaking to trades, or seeing how their own drawings are actually built on site.”

False.

Some of the most valuable lessons in structural engineering happen outside the office. Seeing designs come to life on site gives engineers a completely different understanding of construction sequencing, buildability, site constraints, and the real challenges trades deal with every day.

A lot of the tension between structural engineers and trades could be reduced if more engineers spent time on site, listened, observed, and understood how drawings are interpreted and built in real conditions.
