👏 High praise for this Canterbury home extension and renovation 🤩

A renovation and extension project we worked on in the sought-after inner-city suburb of Canterbury resulted in some fantastic feedback from the homeowners!

💬 “I am writing this letter to express my greatest appreciation and thanks for the project Spacemaker did for my house extension at Mangarra Road.

… [The Spacemaker team has been]... focusing on details and all construction and the final project quality has exceeded our expectation. Travis has been also helping us a lot beyond the job scope. I would recommend your company to any potential customers.

Please kindly pass my personal thanks to Peter if possible. I do wish he can actually see his design as completed and the house is much better, livable and lovely…”

Thank you, Vicky! ❤️ Our team is thrilled that you love your newly transformed home. It’s so rewarding to hear how our hard work has enhanced your lifestyle.

✨💡 Old-world charm meets contemporary design in Brunswick West

Nominated for both the MBA and HIA Awards, 🏆 this extension and renovation captures everything that Melbourne homeowners love. The well-designed home upgrade has retained the distinctive character and timeless style of Melbourne’s heritage properties while embracing modern home design principles.

Originally a 140 sqm period home, our team transformed the property into a spacious 250 sqm abode with extended living spaces and an outdoor deck. 🌿 We carefully preserved the original stained-glass windows, polished timber floors and tasteful architectural details. At the same time, we added new open-plan living areas, natural light and functional design to bring the home into the 21st century. ✅

✨🏘️ Dreaming of a more spacious new home for 2026? Don’t move out, build up! 👏

If you love where you live and don’t want to move but are outgrowing your home, you’re not alone. 🫣 Many Melbourne homeowners in search of more space eventually have to choose between staying put in a cramped home or moving to a larger property.

But there’s a third option! ✅ If you have a small block and need more space, building upwards can give you the best of both worlds: stay in your neighbourhood and create a home to suit your lifestyle. 😍 So before you start scrolling through property listings or packing, speak with a custom home extension builder to determine the best option for you and your family.

With the right builder, it’s easy to update your existing layout to gain additional floorspace, improve the practical use of each zone and the way you move between rooms. Think new open-plan living areas on one level and quiet zones on another—complete bliss for a growing family! ❤️

Beyond the lifestyle benefits, renovating can be a more financially sound decision. 💡 Speak with our team about a customised quote and design concept for your property so you can compare the costs and work out the best option for you. 📞 Call us on 03 8873 7800 or visit our website today 👉 https://spacemaker.com.au/home-extensions-and-renovations/second-storey-extensions/

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-star praise for Nunawading renovation!

The owners of this Nunawading home renovation were so excited about their home upgrade that they wrote a rave review to let our team know just how much they were appreciated:

💬 “I wanted to extend my sincere gratitude to the team for making my dream a reality.

Paul has done an amazing job keeping us informed and addressing the many questions we have had throughout. [We] collectively have about 30 years of project management experience so we’re discerning clients. Paul has exceeded every expectation. No request has been too much.

Mitch, Zach and Ben have not only provided exceptional craftsmanship but have been great company too. They’re courteous, polite and knowledgeable. The ultimate houseguests; they even clean up after themselves! I am quite fussy and to say I’m impressed is an understatement. From demolition to the finishing touches; they’ve worked tirelessly to achieve greatness.

Thanks for putting together the A Team for our renovation. For some, it’s space. For us, it’s a lifesaver. Our lifestyle will be completely transformed thanks to the addition of two studies that will allow us to work from home.

I think you’ll agree that the (nearly) finished product is pretty damn amazing.”

💙 Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Mandy. We couldn’t ask for better feedback. Enjoy your new home! ✨

🤩 Three ground floor home renovations that pop! 💥

From bringing more natural light into the space by opening up dark, dated interiors to incorporating 💡 innovative smart home technology, a custom home renovation can enhance the comfort, functionality and style of each room.

Be inspired by these three home transformations!

1️⃣ Glen Huntly: Once dated with an antiquated layout, now a luxurious modern home! A new kitchen with a spacious island bench, stylish bathrooms and an open-plan living area make this dwelling both elegant and effortlessly liveable.

2️⃣ Hawthorn East: Revitalising this older single-storey home maximised the available plot space and gave it a more modern aesthetic. We preserved the home’s original character while opening up indoor spaces, adding sleek finishes and creating a relaxing haven for the owners.

3️⃣ East Malvern: We breathed new life into this single-fronted Edwardian by removing parts of the rear to make way for a modern extension and renovation. Our design honours the architectural heritage while introducing minimalist, contemporary flair, more natural light and a creative open-plan layout.

See the full project gallery and details for these inspiring homes on our website here 👉 https://spacemaker.com.au/home-extensions-and-renovations/renovations/.
