Last month, the 4D team visited the soon-to-be-completed New Footscray Hospital.
Since breaking ground in late 2019, it’s been a huge journey—and we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been achieved.
This project will be a game-changer for Victoria’s healthcare system. 👷‍♂️🏥💪

435 Bourke St is progressing well. Builder is motoring up the 48 levels of this soon to be benchmark office offering in Melbourne.

Project highlights: 
✅ 45% reduction in embodied carbon throughout the build, exceeding our initial 30% target
✅ Façade installed up to level 18 with multiple unique façade types, incorporating mass monolithic materials of glass reinforced concrete and terracotta
✅ Core up to level 29 and slab completed up to level 26
✅ One of the world’s “solar skin” façade progressing well – generating 20% of base building electricity
✅ 100% renewable energy powering construction, including HVO100 renewable diesel for tower cranes
✅ One of the first office towers to be awarded 6 Star Green Star certification at Design Stage, putting us on track for a 6 Star Green Star Buildings rating at completion

Bridge Spam Part 2
Footscray locals may have spotted an engineering feat underway over the weekend, with the team successfully installing a 110-tonne pedestrian bridge over Ballart Road for the New Footscray Hospital project.

Raised into position by a 650-tonne crawler crane in a single lift, the 57 metre-long structure was welded and bolted into place to create a safe pathway for pedestrians to access the new hospital from Victoria University.

The Plenary Conventions consortium which includes has been named preferred proponent for the Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre precinct development.

Located on Wadawurrung Country on the Geelong waterfront, the centre will comprise a purpose-built convention and exhibition space incorporating a 1,000-seat venue, two large exhibition spaces, conference facilities, flexible event spaces and meeting rooms providing views of Corio Bay.

Associated commercial development will deliver a 200-room Crowne Plaza hotel – Geelong’s largest hotel – and other retail and commercial spaces including the potential for a future commercial office tower. in conjunction with

Builders have wrapped up 200 Victoria Parade for client and

Victoria Place is a contemporary workplace meticulously designed by renowned architect combining technology, sustainability and smart building interfaces in East Melbourne.

With a focus on leading the way with its sustainability credentials, Victoria Place has achieved a 6-star Green Star Office Design, a 6-star NABERS and WELL rating and encouraged connections with the leafy surrounds by providing additional open-air spaces for workers to enjoy.

Project completion! Last month Wurriki Nyal opened its doors as Greater Geelong’s new Civic Precinct. Utilising mass engineered CLT and Glulam beam design options. It’s achieved 6 stars for sustainable green design aswell as a 6 star energy rating. The name Wurriki Nyal (WUU-ruh-kih nee-YAHL) comes from Wadawurrung words meaning "speak and talk together", and was decided through close engagement with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners.
