XPower is an industry leader when it comes to supplying services to the Victorian Major Electrical Companies and other contractors across the Victorian Electrical Distribution Network (VEDN). XPower's safety record is second to none. Our Integrated Management System incorporates detailed policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure we always find the safest and most efficient way to complete tasks set. All team members are VESI/VEDN trained and also attain level 2 First Aid, SAD's & traffic management certificates. XPower is an approved & accredited VEDN civil contractor and is also CCF accredited in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality management. XPower provide a range of services including:

Farewell to DJ đŸ„ČđŸ„ł

Today we say farewell to DJ, who is hanging up his XPower hard hat and heading north to Queensland for his next adventure.

DJ brought a wealth of drilling knowledge and experience to the XPower team, and his expertise has been a huge asset to the business. We’re incredibly appreciative of everything he’s contributed, both on the tools and as part of the wider team.

And of course, thanks for jumping in front of the camera and showing off those pearly whites whenever we asked — even if you do have a face for drilling. 😘

DJ, thanks for everything, mate. You’ve been a valued part of the XPower team and you’ll certainly be missed.
We wish you all the very best for the next chapter in the Sunshine State. ☀

60 metres. Changing levels. Zero room for error.

This wasn't your standard HDD shot.

Working beneath High Street, Broadford, the XPower team completed a 60m directional bore using our Vermeer D9x13, installing a 180mm bore for a 110mm PE electrical conduit.

With Stan on the rig and Brody tracking the drill head using the DCI Falcon locating system, the team successfully navigated changing ground levels while maintaining pinpoint accuracy from entry to exit.

Projects like these are a great example of the precision, planning and teamwork required to deliver underground infrastructure safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption above ground.

Another step forward for XPower's underground delivery capability.

We're proud to welcome the new TRACTO GRUNDODRILL 20ACS to the XPower fleet.

As demand for critical energy and infrastructure projects continues to grow across Victoria, investing in the right equipment ensures we're ready to deliver safer, smarter and more efficient outcomes for our clients.

Built to handle challenging ground conditions, the 20ACS strengthens our ability to complete complex HDD installations with greater precision and reliability, helping keep essential services and communities connected.

A big thank you to James and the team at Tracto Australia / TRACTO for their support throughout the process.

We're looking forward to getting this machine into the field and continuing to deliver the infrastructure that powers and connects Victoria.

Not every job site gives you room to move 👀

This public lighting upgrade in Moonee Valley City Council came with some seriously tight access, narrow laneways, homes backing directly onto the work area, and plenty of logistical challenges.

That’s where smart planning, specialist equipment, and an experienced crew make all the difference.

Big thanks to the local residents for working with us while we completed the upgrade — and massive credit to the XPower team for another quality delivery. ⚡

Farewell to Ben Mckenzie – The face of XPowerđŸ‘·đŸŒđŸš§

One of XPower’s best is hanging up his hard hat and heading to the hills of Canada to become a lifty. Ben Mckenzie, the face of XPower on social media (which he built from the ground up), gave the people what they wanted and played a key role in our transition and rebranding.

Ben brought more than just enthusiasm—he used skills from his university degree to help shape our digital presence and brand identity. His creativity and strategic thinking were instrumental in making XPower what it is today.

He spent three years with us, starting from scratch with no background in the industry. When I offered him the job, his dad told me, “He wouldn’t know how to use a shovel.” But Ben’s unbelievable attitude to life proved otherwise. He listened, kept his eyes open, and was always learning.

His “nothing’s too hard” mindset is what turned him into the incredible employee he is today. The management team literally said to me, “WHAT THE F%$ # will we do when Ben leaves?” And they weren’t wrong.

Ben won’t just be missed by management—he’ll be missed by the entire work group. You’ve left a mark, mate.

Ben, we’re going to miss you. We wish you all the best in your next adventure. We’re already counting the days until you return—and hoping you’ll want to don the fluro’s again when you’re back.
