A wonderful and encouraging meeting at STEM Birds! 🚀🤖

It was a pleasure to welcome Mathew Hilakari MP, Member for Point Cook and Parliamentary Secretary for Education, to the STEM Birds office for a positive discussion about STEM education, our upcoming STEM Birds Australian Coding Competition 2027, and opportunities to encourage more children to explore coding, robotics, AI and innovation.

It was great to share our vision of making STEM learning more accessible, engaging and practical for children, and to discuss initiatives that can inspire the next generation of young creators, problem-solvers and innovators.

We truly appreciate Mathew’s encouragement and willingness to support our coding competition and future STEM initiatives. Conversations like these give us even more motivation to keep creating opportunities for young learners and to expand the impact of STEM education in our community.

At STEM Birds, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore technology, build confidence, think creatively and discover what they can achieve.

Adelaide, Term 4 enrolments are now open!

Give your child the opportunity to explore robotics and coding through engaging, hands-on STEM activities designed for ages 5–15 years.

Students will build projects, solve challenges, develop coding skills and strengthen their creativity, logical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a fun and supportive learning environment.

What an incredible holiday camp season! 🚀

Our young creators spent the holidays coding, building, experimenting and bringing brilliant ideas to life. Every session was packed with creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and plenty of proud moments.

A huge thank you to all the amazing students and families who joined us and made these camps such a success.

The STEM Birds Australian Coding Competition 2027 is now open!

This year’s theme is:
CODE, CREATE & PROTECT – Australian Endangered Species

Choose an Australian endangered species and use your coding, creativity and ideas to build a project that helps raise awareness and inspire change.
Competition categories:

Scratch Jr — Ages 5–6
Scratch Coding — Ages 7–15
Tinkercad 3D Design — Ages 7–15
Python Turtle — Ages 9–15

🏆 Prizes include custom trophies, STEM prizes, gift cards and national recognition.

Our session at the Wyndham Learning Festival 2026 was all about giving young learners the space to experiment, problem-solve, build and see what they could create with code.

Sometimes the best learning happens in a small group more questions, more experimenting, more “let me try this!” moments. And we loved every bit of it.
