Has anyone heard of Multi-finish yet? Multi-finish is a gypsum based plaster meaning it can be applied directly over plasterboard as well as many other surfaces.

This is a new product in Melbourne…. so what does it mean for new home builders and renovators?

As opposed to Melbournes traditional way of internal plastering(filling the joins) on plasterboard walls and ceilings, Multi-finish is applied to the full wall/ceiling in two coats.

So how exactly is this a benefit to home owners?

Multi finish not only provides walls with an additional 3 hours of fire protection as opposed to the old system. It also proves to be much more effective when it comes to sound protection.

On top of that there is insulation benefits and not forgetting the obvious advantage of being a solid wall therefore providing a much better protection against any accidental bumps from naughty kids or intentional ones from angry adults!

This product can be polished to provide an almost glass-like finish by Melbourne Render Specialists. Making the painters job a hell of a lot easier... it’s also generally dry enough to be painted in around 48-72 hours from finish.
