​When a customer brings you a 75 Series Troopcarrier that’s already built for adventure, there’s only one way to make it better: give it the ultimate heart transplant.

​This absolute weapon of a Troopy just rolled out of the shop after getting a complete M57N & ZF6 conversion, making it the ultimate long-distance tourer. This car is the perfect mix of rugged capability, camping comfort, and modern diesel power.

​Here’s a look at what went into this incredible build:

​🔧 The Engine: Fully Prepped & Bulletproof

​Before the M57 went between the rails, we gave it the works to ensure total reliability out in the bush:

​Full engine freshen-up with all-new gaskets and seals
​Brand new timing chains
​Reconditioned turbo
​Fresh set of new injectors, plus a whole lot more!

​🛠️ Custom In-House Fabrication

​We love getting creative in the shop, and this build required some clean, custom touches designed and manufactured right here at Resurrection 4x4:

​We know it’s been a minute since we last posted, but the team has been absolutely buried under a mountain of horsepower and custom fabrication here at Resurrection 4x4.

​To make it up to you, check out this absolute weapon of a customer GU Patrol that just rolled out the doors. This rig came in for the ultimate heart transplant and left as a fully engineered, NSW-compliant beast!

​Here is a breakdown of what went into this massive build:

​🔧 The Heart: M57N2 & ZF6 Conversion

​Before the engine even dropped into the bays, we gave it the full longevity and performance treatment:

​Full engine freshen-up with new timing chains & complete reseal kit

​Performance valve springs

​Brand new Bosch injectors

​Turbo Systems ball bearing turbo upgrade

​Mated together seamlessly using a Fusion Fab Industries adapter

​💨 Breathing & Fabrication

​Custom in-house fabricated 3.5" exhaust mated to a custom dump pipe and crossover

​Custom 4" forward-facing stainless steel snorkel topped with a ram head

​Black Mamba 200 Series-style airbox

​🛠️ The "Cab Off" Treatment & Extras

​We don't cut corners. We pulled the cab right off this rig to handle the fine details:

​Replaced damaged firewall insulation

​Fitted brand new genuine body mounts

​Brake Upgrade: 200 Series-style front brake calipers & rotors + upgraded rear pads and rotors for serious stopping power.

​🧠 Tech & Comfort

​Haltech UC10 Display pre-loaded with one of our custom, in-house Resurrection 4x4 digital skins

​Fully integrated cruise control kit

​Integrated immobilizer and GPS tracker for ultimate security

​📈 Tuning & Compliance

​Once the spanners were put away, it was time for the dyno. This beast got a custom engine tune featuring an aggressive hardcut limiter (as requested by the customer! 💥) paired with a Stage 2 transmission tune to make that ZF6 shift perfectly.

​Best of all? It’s fully engineered and NSW road compliant.

Knocked out a few solid little jobs this week 👍

First up, built a temporary shifter mount for a customer’s M57-converted Troopy.

We moved it back and raised it up to make it way more usable in manual mode until his custom centre console is ready.

Also had a customer who wanted his bonnet-entry snorkel cut capped off on his tidy barra converted GQ so we welded it up. Came out super clean 👌

🔧 Fixed another dodgy turbo drain on this TD42 GU!

This sump came in with a leaky bodge job on the turbo drain that was causing all sorts of grief. We pulled the old pan, replaced it with a fresh sump, then properly welded in a clean AN fitting so we can run some quality new lines.

No more half-arsed fixes
done to done right 😌💪
