The waterline is where the detail lives.

It is the band of tile you see every time you walk past, and the first thing the light catches when the water moves. Get the colour and the lines right here and the whole pool looks considered, even from across the garden.

Every tile along it is set by hand, one course at a time, so the edge stays crisp for years.

We are on the Peninsula and we build across Victoria.

If there is a pool in your plans, spring is the right time to start talking about it. Design, approvals and engineering all take time, and starting early gives your pool the best chance of being ready for the summer you want it.

Late afternoon, and the whole garden is reflected in the water.

Blue sky, the last of the sun on the stone, and nowhere else you would rather be. The kind of backyard that makes staying home feel like the best plan of the weekend.

Same team, same standard, start to finish. We only build a handful of pools each year, which means real time and real attention goes into every one. This is what that looks like. Custom from the ground up. 🌊

Most people come to us with a rough idea of what they want. By the end of the design process the shape has usually evolved because we look at how you actually use your backyard, not just how it photographs.

Good design doesn't shout. It just looks right, proportions balanced, finish considered, edges clean. A pool that belongs to its home rather than competing with it. This is Feature Pools. 🌊

A pool does not have to take over the garden. Designed early enough, it sits inside it.

Planting softens the edges, frames the water and gives you glimpses of it as you move through the space. It feels less like a pool in a backyard and more like water that has always been part of the landscape.

The earlier we are working alongside your landscape designer, the easier this is to achieve.

Every tile in a Feature Pool is set by hand. The curves are where you can tell.

A step nose or a radius wall is slow, careful work. Each tile has to follow the line without gaps opening up or edges catching the light the wrong way. When the water goes still, it is the first thing your eye finds.

After 40 years, it is still the part of the job we are proudest of.
