On Friday we farewelled one of our own.

From the day you started with us, you have shown nothing but hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn. Watching you grow has been something we are incredibly proud of, and while we are sad to see you go, we are more excited to see you take the next step in your journey as an apprentice plumber.

You have become so much more than an apprentice to us, you are like a son. Your positive attitude, loyalty, and work ethic have made a lasting impact on everyone here. The place won't quite be the same without you.

Thank you for everything you've brought to our team. We have no doubt you're going to do great things, and we wish you every success in this exciting new chapter.

We know Jeff won't see this because he has an aversion to technology, but we would like to give him a shout out regardless, since he's been a part of the Husky Drilling Crew since day one.

Jeff has spent plenty of time travelling to some of the most remote parts of Australia, never shying away from the long drives, early starts or getting stuck into the job. When the day's work was done, you could usually find him sharing a beer with the locals, having a laugh and making friends wherever he went.

As Matt's dad, Jeff's always been someone Matt could bounce ideas off, offering honest advice, plenty of life experience and a different perspective when it was needed.

Thanks, Jeff, for all the kilometres travelled, the hard work you've put in, the laughs along the way over the past ten years. We appreciate having you on the team.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team in the civil construction industry. If you have a passion for operating drilling equipment and are looking for an exciting, long-term career with growth opportunities, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate directional drilling equipment for the installation of underground utilities such as water, gas, telecommunications, and power
Perform equipment pre-start checks and ensure proper maintenance of drilling equipment
Work alongside crew members to ensure safe and efficient project ex*****on
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines on site
Prepare detailed reports and provide updates on drilling progress

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience operating DitchWitch directional drills (minimum 2 years preferred)
Strong understanding of drilling techniques, equipment, and trenchless technology
Experience with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for utility installation
Ability to read and interpret site plans and project specifications
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
White Card (Construction Induction Card) required
Additional tickets (e.g., Excavator, HR license) are advantageous

Job Opportunity: Civil Construction Labourer

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Construction Labourer to join our growing team. If you’re looking for a challenging role in the civil construction industry with opportunities for growth, this could be the perfect job for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with general labouring duties on civil construction sites
Support in excavation, site preparation, and groundwork
Assist with the installation of infrastructure such as drainage, sewer systems, and utilities
Operate and maintain basic construction equipment and tools
Ensure site safety protocols and procedures are followed
Work alongside experienced team members to complete tasks efficiently

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in civil construction or labouring is preferred but not essential
Ability to work well in a team and take direction
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality
Physically fit and capable of handling manual labour

We are currently looking experienced civil workers that are able to install communications pits and sewer boundary valve kits.

If you have an eye for detail, can operate an excavator and have experience in communications and or plumbing this could be the job for you.

Electro fusion welding and butt welding, excavator and locate and protect tickets are an advantage.

Truck licence is desirable.

All additional training will be provided.

Competitive rates and overtime on offer for the right candidate.
