Standard site protection doesn't always cut it in complex data centre environments. 💡

Innovation in construction often comes down to finding smarter ways to protect, adapt, and deliver — and Tufwrap was proud to bring our shrink wrap expertise to a data centre project in Tullamarine, Melbourne.

As part of this specialised application, Tufwrap created a custom temporary enclosure solution for the open ends of modular building sections, supporting the construction process within a complex data centre environment.

The single-layer wrap system was carefully installed using a purpose-designed methodology, with film secured to the structure sides and mechanically battened into the roof at floor level. This approach provided a clean, controlled, and effective barrier while maintaining flexibility around the modular build requirements.

With each opening measuring approximately 4m wide by 3.6m high, the project highlighted the adaptability of shrink wrap technology beyond traditional applications — delivering a practical solution for modern modular construction and critical infrastructure builds.

Protecting high-value robotics takes more than standard wrapping. 🛠️

Tufwrap was proud to partner with McHugh & Eastwood in Geelong on a specialised transport preservation solution for a robotic arm, engineered to safeguard a valuable asset during handling, storage, and relocation.

This project utilised a multi-layer encapsulation system, combining an inner layer of Green VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) technology with an outer layer of Tufwrap 250µm heat shrink film. To further enhance preservation, moisture control desiccants were installed internally within the enclosure.

The result:
✅ A controlled preservation environment designed to protect the robotic assembly from corrosion risks during transport and storage, delivering a secure, robust protective package.

Another successful encapsulation project completed for Consolidated Power Projects in Tailem Bend, South Australia. 🇦🇺

Our team supplied and installed full encapsulation to two scaffold structures, each approximately 40 linear metres in length, including staircase access towers. Both scaffolds were fully covered at roof level, creating a secure, weather-resistant working environment for the project team.

Another successful project completed for repeat client Bob White Electrix in Norlane, Victoria. 🤝

This time, we delivered a 12-month storage wrap for an asset measuring 6m × 4m × 4m, using 200µm shrink film combined with a mineral desiccant to provide long-term protection against moisture and corrosion.

Every preservation project is tailored to the storage duration and environmental conditions, ensuring equipment remains in excellent condition until it's ready for use.
